Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

I actually like to come here for their normal food as well as the ice cream. Their burgers taste like they were cooked on a backyard grill and it hits a special spot. And their ice cream is great, with many options to choose from. The staff are friendly here, but sometimes it can be a bit slow at times.

Cook was extremely rude waited 20 minutes for our food - paid for onion rings was literally given 3 onion rings and told they wouldn’t fix it.

Went here around when new haven school got out, everything was fine and ordered correctly but food was slightly incorrect when received I ordered sauce and tossed chicken tenders and got regular tenders instead. I ate inside before the rush, I didnt mention anything because to me it was not a big deal. But the person at the register was super nice and friendly and did read off everything correctly. Blizzard was made good and timely and even during the rush food was still brought to us by worker hand. I recommend this location for how good the food was honeslty everything was hot and fresh.

The New Haven Dairy Queen has been a staple of New Haven for a very long time since I was a kid. I remember walking across the street and going there on our half days or after school or during the summer when we were at your pool. The owner who had it was the nicest guy ever, and I’m not sure if he still owns it or somebody else does since they did the remodel. However, a little bit of time in between there the service wasn’t up to par but lately these last few weeks when my kids and I have stopped, they have been absolutely amazing and great service. I think one young man who I’ve had a few times is a manager and he has dark hair with glasses and he has the best customer service an attitude towards us and his coworkers that I have seen. So I just wanted to give that young man a shout out because he is doing a great job and Continuing the tradition. Thank you.

We ordered chicken strip baskets with gravy. When we got home and opened the gravy there was less than a tablespoon of gravy in the container. It didn't even cover the bottom there was so little! There were also very few fries. This place has gone downhill fast.

Not worth ordering lunch with app, I stood in line for 15 min staring at my food on the warming station. Had to act like I was making a new order to get anyone's attention.

Just to explain some of the ratings and why I gave them. One, they are not staffed to serve the customers. They are definitely don't have the man power. Either they called in or the scheduling wasn't done correctly. Two, went to come in and the one door was still locked. Had to walk over to the next door to enter the restaurant. Four, came into the restaurant and it looked pretty dirty. Floors were dirty, flies everywhere, tables are dirty. As I was sitting here at the table. They went over and locked the patio door after I told them the side door was locked. Now, onto the food, fries were warm and the sandwich was half way decent. Wasn't hot, but wasn't cold either. I think the fast food restaurant can do a lot better.

Man, do I absolutely love DQs marshmallow milkshakes. They are pricey, but they are good. If loving them is a crime, better throw me in jail.
