I actually like to come here for their normal food as well as the ice cream. Their burgers taste like they were cooked on a backyard grill and it hits a special spot. And their ice cream is great, with many options to choose from. The staff are friendly here, but sometimes it can be a bit slow at times.
Went here around when new haven school got out, everything was fine and ordered correctly but food was slightly incorrect when received I ordered sauce and tossed chicken tenders and got regular tenders instead. I ate inside before the rush, I didnt mention anything because to me it was not a big deal. But the person at the register was super nice and friendly and did read off everything correctly. The New Haven Dairy Queen has been a staple of New Haven for a very long time since I was a kid.
