Speaking as a staff member who has is lactose intolerant. The food is a 3/10 it's the same food served up every day and our chefs regularly cook with dairy it's like they don't care if someone who is lactose intolerant has a reaction or not.Service is ok. Probably a 5/10 considering we are set up like a buffet and don't have many options and the options we do offer are cooked regularly. And the atmosphere well you adjusted after a while after being a service member for a while. Probably a 7/10 considering management actually cares. When you try to be honest about how you really feel about the food that it's scary to eat because your lactose intolerant but the chef comes back with "there's plenty of options" but half the food choices have diary in them. What gives? Not everything has to have dairy

The service here is good, but the food is nothing new. It's the same every week. The cooking is particularly bad. We are often given a plate of overcooked vegetables. The vegetables are filled with tiny black pot flakes, which are carcinogenic!

Good food selection, friendly people.
My family and I went today for Thanksgiving meal. It was wonderful.
Found multiple LIVE black bugs crawling in my food.. eat at your own risk
Someone asked me what’s the best thing about Notre Dame….I replied definitely the people and the educationThen they asked what’s the worst: without a doubt I said NDH, I’d rather starve and die of hunger rather than eating bugs.
Outstanding effort by the staff in hosting the 2022 University of Notre Dame Graduation Dinner for grads and families. Beautiful campus, delicious food, kind and generous people serving the meal. Well done ?
