The sign said they were open until 8:30. Pulled in between 8-8:15. The open sign was shut off already. We asked if they were open like the sign out front stated. The waitress was rude and made it known that she didn't want to take our order. All we needed was a drink and 2 grilled cheese. They had our food done in plenty of time for them to go home at 8:30. There was no need for her to be rude from the get go.

When I moved to Peru over 10 yrs ago my son, daughter and myself would always laugh and yell "It's Mr Weenie Time!!!" every time we drove past ?. Cute little drive in and you can eat in your vehicle or at the picnic tables. The prices are really reasonable and the food is really tasty. The coney dogs , coleslaw, Wrigley dogs, shrimp baskets, and tenderloins just to name a few are really good. The service is always good and fast. I've bought Mr Weenie t-shirts for funny Christmas gifts in the past and everyone always has a good laugh.

At first I was hesitant to eat at a restraunt named Mr. Weenie, but the food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly.
Parking: There was approximately 12-14 pull up spots to park and order.

Great place for family. You can sit in your car or at the picnic tables. Reasonable prices and good food.
We love a drive-in with car hops. I had the patty melt. I should have added a condiment, but it was still very good, just a bit bland. My partner had the breaded tenderloin and said it was very good. Fries were OK, could have been crispier. Had a rootbeer float. Good rootbeer. Lots of menu choices. Will stop again next time we're in the area. Gotta try a weenie!!
We stopped here after going to a circus in Peru. The hotdogs were nothing special from what we saw and ate, the servers were very nice though and the food was very inexpensive. I am doubtful that we will return in the future though.

Honestly the price you pay for quality isn't the best. The dogs are made very sloppy, in which doesn't always mean it's a bad thing. But what I'm really disappointed in is their wrigley braut that comes with nothing on it for almost 3 dollars... wasn't asked if I wanted any toppings... it was just a plain braut. I'd like to also add that I love Chicago dogs, but in order for it to be a legit Chicago dog is you need the right colored relish and it also comes with tomato. Key points if you want to mimic the real thing.
On that note I haven't eaten here in years and I finally came around to try it again and I just don't know how I feel about it anymore.
