“We live about 45 minutes away so this was not on our radar to eat here, but glad we did while passing though town. We both had the brisket special. Just Wow!!! They did NOT skimp on their brisket portions or their sides! The brisket is right up there with some of the best I've had. VERY tender, juicy and falls apart. It was not tough or dried out at all. All our sides were very good also! We'll definitely come this way again and stop here just for the food. We love finding new 'destination' places to eat. Job well done!”

“I ordered the veggie grinder with marinated chicken and cheese. ALSO tried the homemade breadsticks with cheese. ALSO tried the cactus soup. It was all so delicious. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always clean.”

“This place is easy to find, has good parking, and the people are so nice! They have amazing cider. The apple barn is filled with hand crafted goodies and there is a lovely pumpkin patch where we found a ginormous pumpkin to take home. I saw a tractor ride, animals, and corn maze as well. Great fall fun!”

“well given the fact we went too Gaberiels and sat and only being maybe the 4th table their and of course our waitress forgot about us . so when another waitress came around and asked us for refills we said NO thank you we haven't even ordered yet!! we sat another 10 mins waiting on our waitress so we could order and nothing so the lady who did the refills told us not to worry and we got up and left!!”

“2 full tacos for $5. Can't beat it. The Mac n cheese pulled pork is my favorite! I've also had the sweet & sour rice dish, potato salad & root beer float too, also delicious. You can't get bad food here ever, plus it's not expensive!”

I have tried most of their coffees, they are always quite good. I definitely recommend you try some of their specialty items, when they have them they're always quite the treat. always a nice place to stop for coffee ☕.”

“I have to update my review. I had a blast last night @ the best little dive bar in Peru. I had so much fun @ the Halloween party and it's great having a place like this too go out dancing and let your hair down. There's not many places to go and have fun (adulting) in a small town. The band Weird Science was so freaking awesome and they played all 80's music. Love them and they ROCK!!! This is my new favorite place to hang out at and the locals are great ✌️ FYI The skeleton guy never said a word all night and he made the perfect date. 🤣🤣🤣💀

First time I've been at Nickel Plate Saloon and I really enjoyed myself. When I walked in I was greeted and people were introducing themselves. I had a lot of fun playing pool. The atmosphere, music, staff and people in general were great.”

“Had to move kid's birthday party last minute because of rain, so we decided Pizza Quik.
Called & they talked me through what options I had. Staff were so accommodating for 15 people last minute, turned on extra games for us & set up back room. All staff were so helpful & kind to kids & adults. Helped us out with some unexpected things like extra ice & held ice cream for us in freezer.
10/10 eased a stressed mom's day & kept a 10 yr old kid happy for his birthday.”

“We havent eaten at Pizza King its in years .We don't have one in our town .My husband's favorite food right now is stromboli .He ordered a stromboli , I ordered a 10 inch pepperoni ,onion ,mushroom and banana pepper pizza.It was all hot, fresh and made to order .It was just as flavorful and iconic as I remembered .The guys behind the counter were really nice and you could tell they love what they do .”

“Literally the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Those pancakes were enormous and the syrup was so good!! The pancakes were fluffy and slightly sweet even on their own. I got sunny side up eggs with bacon as well, both delicious! Crispy bacon and the eggs were perfectly done.

The prices are also very good! 12 dollars for a meal that filling is very worth it, especially with how expensive other restaurants here tend to be. Will definitely be returning again! Thank you!”

I was missing an item, so I called the store to see if it would be possible to get the missing/correct sandwich. The person I spoke with apologized and I was able to go back to get my sandwich.
