Do not go here. If it's this bad when they're not busy, I cannot fathom being here during a rush. My son completely finished his meal before we got our icecream. They are supposed to be shakes, but there's no way I'm getting lock jaw trying to use a straw. I had to go up there TWICE to ask for our shakes. They purposely ignored the people standing up front for 30 minutes. It took over 30 minutes to get our 'drinks' and it was dead in there. Literally, the less than 6 customers they had were all waiting an ungodly amount of time for their orders. No apologies, no sense of urgency, no damns given. I'm appalled and apetered. Just don't go here. The fries were really good. My son said that they were great when they were hot. Unfortunately, I was up trying to get the shakes we ordered, so my food was already cold. The older lady cooking up front was not pleasant to the 2 men who dared ask her where their food was. They were polite, she was not. Fully staffed and dysfunctional is diabolical! I should not have stopped here.

I haven't been inside a Steak 'n Shake in some time (maybe 5 years), but this was definitely not how it used to be. There are no servers, you order at a kiosk, have to scan a barcode at a fountain to get your drink (which wasn't exactly easy and took multiple scans to get it to work), and the food was not as good as it used to be. It took away from the experience that used it to be. It's more like a modern fast food experience like McDonald's. If that's what you are looking for or expecting then you may enjoy it, but it wasn't what we were expecting.

Quick great service. Food was hot and the fried were even cooked perfectly.
It took over 45 minutes to get our food to come out. This is because they give priority to the drive thru customers, rather than mixing it better. Needless to say, we will be only using the drive thru moving forward. It was also very cold in the dining area, and I don't typically get cold.

I live in Bloomington Indiana so I was hesitant to eat here because of the steak and shake there is not good. But these people that work in the steak ‘n Shake have totally redeemed my faith and steak ‘n Shake.!!! no lie best hamburger best shake best fries best chili I’ve ever had! No lie it was amazing
