Terrible food. The place was almost empty and it still took forever to get cold food. We had 15 wings and only ate 6. They were cold, hard, and so over cooked that they wouldn't even cut with a knife. They would actually break before cutting. We also had some fries topped with bacon and cheese. Unfortunately they were also cold, and half the cheese wasn't even melted and the other half was like rubber. We didn't eat but a couple of bites of it. When asked if we wanted a to-go box we told them that there is no way we would take food that was so bad, back home with us. To their credit they did tell us that they only had one cook come in that day, and did not charge us for the food. Three out of the other 4 tables also had their food comped because it was so bad. Why even serve food that day if it was no good?

This is the second time we’ve gone to this Applebee’s in the past two months and each time I’ve went they’ve been shortstaffed. This time was an awful Experience. It took 15 minutes for our waitress to even order our drinks, and then another 10 minutes to get our drinks, then took another 15 to 20 minutes for her to even return to get our food order. The whole time staff was in the back towards the kitchen, just gossiping about the people who called off in gossiping in general. Our waitress was also bartending because we were in the bar area, there was nobody seated at the bar, She had our table of two and another table of two that she was also neglecting to take care of, as we watched her, just sit and stare from the bar while we were sitting with empty drinks. My boyfriend got one refill the entire hour and 20 minutes that we were there, and I never received a refill at all. Unpleasant experience all around. We will not be returning.

Jeanne I believe is her name. Quite possibly has to be the most inattentive waiter I have ever meet Met. My girlfriend and I had to ask for silverware. As so did other tables near us. Out of the 2 soft drinks we ordered we got one re fill. Before you say they were busy they in fact weren’t that busy. She had 3 tables and 2 people at the bar. She had found it more important to gossip about some one calling off instead of just talking the problem. On the bright side the food was hot. And the gentleman with the long blonde hair was the only one wanting to work. He was speed walking around the whole restaurant picking up other servers slack. I wish I would have been able to tip him instead of her.

Went in for dinner. Waited 5 minutes to be seated, no host(ess) and nobody acknowledged my presence. No sign at the front saying to seat yourself. Went to the restroom, then came back for another 5 minutes. This time a server was finishing up with a table right next to the door where I was standing. When the server finished they never acknowledged me, just turned and walked away so I left.

Forgot to pack the wife’s tacos, that I guess was resolved, but after she hung up I came into the room checked my food( honey bourbon chicken pasta, had no chicken just a little sauce and some bacon bits. Breadstick was a stone. I mean for 60 bucks you would think to get better food when they were dead inside. But whatever this review won’t go anywhere anyway

So my boyfriend and I decided to get dinner last night at the Plymouth Applebees after many bad experiences because we wanted to give them another chance. But I do not think we will be coming back instead going to another location. The service on this particular night was better than most but still not great. We arrived at happy hour for half price appetizers with intentions of just splitting appetizers amongst ourselves but when I asked the waitress she said they no longer do that. Yet a week before when I asked I was told by another waitress they still did it and I just wasn’t there at the right time( we had gotten there that time at 6:30 pm) and last night we were there after 9 pm. We ordered a single meal of a mushroom and Swiss to split but instead the waitress had brought us out 2 meals of the wrong sandwich instead of the correct 1 and when she went to fix it after letting her know she still brought us 2 meals and at this point I was frustrated and just said fine to the 2 meals and paid and left. All in all I really don’t recommend this location until they hire some better staff to keep up with the rush when they are busy and clarify what they do and do not offer.

Let me first off by saying we love applebees but some reason ..this one just didn't care everyone was just more worried about hanging out in the kitchen more than taking care of the customers food was over cooked and the broccoli was really mushy and it took me forever to get my drink while the rest of the table had there's....

Waited 7 minutes to be seated, 20 minutes to get our drinks and 30 minutes for our food. Then they messed our order up for waffle fries and brought pretzels with cheese. Came back and asked if we wanted the waffle fries but we didn't have an other 30 minutes to wait for them so just ate the pretzels. In my opinion we should have got the pretzels for free but that wasn't the case! Wake up Applebees.. you need more customers service or you will be losing customers!!

Our waitress left right after she took our drink orders and never came back. The manager came 25 minutes later to say she was going to wait on us. She took our food order. We waited another 30 minutes. She brought the food then never came back. The food was overcooked. We could not get her to come to our table. A poor teenager came and brought us our bill 20 minutes after we asked the hostess to find it. He asked if the food was okay and I told him we couldnt even eat some because it was so overcooked. Because the manager wouldnt come to our table, nothing was done. We spent 2.5 hours and $100 on gross food and terrible service. (The teenager was truly apologetic and kind, but that was the managers job.)
It was terrible. The service was bad the food qe had to wait 45 minutes. And when we finially did get our food it was cold and looked like it was left under the heat lamp to long .it was dry and gross. The hostess was the nicenest part of the experience. I will never go there again.

Waited 10 mins just to order me an my mother drinks.. then waited almost 45mins for our dinner me and my mom ordered the 2 for $25 the steak dinner and asked for medium rare both came out very well done! And the mash potatoes was very salty. I only took 3 bites out of my mash and 2 bites from my steak (same with my mom) told the waiter about the food an see what the GM to take the steak dinner off an just charge us the pop and mossarella sticks NOPE! That was the only good thing we ate was just the mossarella sticks! Never going back.. one in valpo is better! The damn pop was expensive for just 2 ppl
