My son and I were in town for a couple of days to see the Union Pacific Big Boy train roll through at nearby Argos. We stopped here for dinner June 4th, and it was great. This is a classic example of a 'Hellenic Diner', which is rare to find these days. The menu is extensive with traditional diner fare and some Greek-themed specialties included, along with an extensive selection of homebaked desserts. Service was thorough and friendly throughout. Tara was especially amazing and thoughtful, treating us like family by making sure we were well-taken care of. The ultimate Gyros platter was delicious, and my son said his selections (burger and chicken tenders) was delicious also. For dessert, he ordered the chocolate cake and I ordered the chocolate peanut butter pie. The cake and pie were both sublime. I wanted to order a whole of both to take home, but unfortunately we wouldn't be home for another few days, so we had to pass. The dessert case up front was eye-popping, if you happen to love sweets. The restaurant is well-decorated inside with artwork and a really cool ceiling motif (I want to say fresco, but I don't know for sure), roomy but with a cozy feel, along lots of well-maintained ornamental plants adorning the exterior. There is so much good things to say about this place. But while the food, desserts, and atmosphere were all amazing, I have to say Tara was the star of the show, with her kindness and thoughtfulness in making sure her guests were very well-taken care of. She is a true gem. 5/5 highly recommended.

Very good comfort food. I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes (made from actual potatoes-not flakes). I have had several different meals there. The food reminds me of home cooking. They have great ice cream in the front cooler which you can order from your seat. I recommend checking the flavors before being seated.

This place had mostly decent food. Bummed about them using instant mash instead of real mash but the rest of the things were good.

Horrible service. The table across from me got their soft drinks before I even got my water. I was seated several minutes ahead of them, The coffee came later because they were making a fresh pot. The waitress didn’t bother to mention that fact until she served the coffee. It was extremely weak (I could clearly see the portion of the spoon that was submerged). I wasn’t offered a dinner roll even though the lady sitting at the next table who had ordered the exact same meal received one. I requested extra napkins twice, but didn’t get them until after the waitress hurriedly dropped off the bill & a carry out box (I really wasn’t finished eating but felt like I was being invited to leave NOW). I must have had a shocked expression because the waitress then asked “oh do you need something else?” After I said that I never did get the extra napkins that I requested she tossed a couple of them on the table. I wasn’t offered a refill on the $3.20 cup of weak coffee, a dinner roll nor was I offered the dessert that supposedly was included with the meal. Darn near $20 to get about 1/2 a meal & be rushed out the door (it was still well over an hour before closing time). In my rush to pay & leave I “forgot” to leave a tip. My mom was a waitress while I was growing up, I know that it is hard work. I usually tip pretty generously, but not when I don’t get what I’m paying for & get the bums rush to boot. From where I was seated I clearly heard an employee being told to “get off your phone or go home”. I won’t be in a hurry to dine there again.

The atmosphere of the place is cool but that's about it, the food is rather low quality with a lot of premade frozen foods. The cheesecake was good. The waiter couldn't get are orders right, bringing food out that was missing ingredients that we had to ask for that should've already been included. The waiter we had didn't quite understand how to do his job he couldn't even explain the menu to me properly. Overall not impressed with the food pretty basic cheap food nothing special won't be going back.

The breakfast dish I generally get is well suitable for an extra meal to take home. 😋 It comes with hashbrowns, 2 sausage patties, biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs on top. Country benedict I think? And since I like sweet also, my husband will get a plate of French toast. And we split our meals in half.
