Horrible. Food mediocre. No salad or bread when you order pasta and prices are too high for the small portions. Corporate greed shines through

Hygiene not the best, before leaving and after paying the bill I stopped by the restroom and witnessed 2 kitchen employees, I assume were part of the food prep finish using the urinal and toilet and walk right out of the Men's room and back in the kitchen. I will be notifying the Manager/Owner first.

If you know me at all, figuring out how to leave a review was a total nightmare for me. I HAD to express my total respect for the excellence in customer service I received today from Mark. This young man walked up the hill from his store, in a t-shirt (in 25 degree weather) to make sure everything was resolved from the miscommunication while ordering. WHAT!!?? Yes, he WALKED to personally apologize. WOW!! TOTALLY IMPRESSED. No matter where life takes you, Mark, keep doing THAT. #TeamMark

First time trying Aurelio’s in Portage. The waitress and the people behind the counter very unfriendly and rude. Pizza was salty. Prices are high.

I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago in the 1970s..Our to go pizza was Aurelios in Homewood Illinois (The Original) and they are not even close to the quality they used to be.

First time ever trying Aurelio’s tonight. Our family was a party of five and we were seated immediately, around 6:30pm on a Saturday night. There was our table, two booths of patrons and one other table of 5 to 6 people, about a half full dining room.
We put in an appetizer order and an order for three pizzas around 6:45p
Apps and drink refills came out quickly with the exception of our bread sticks, we were told they burned the first batch and they needed to be remade.
Eventually those came out and we were eating by 7/7:10.
By 7:45, we were still waiting on pizza and the waitress came out to tell us that the kitchen ran out of pizzas and is making more, and that she moved our ticket up in line so there are only four orders before ours.

Running out of pizzas and being backed up on orders wasn’t just discovered at 7:45, but that’s how long they waited to tell us that they hadn’t started our pizzas and they wouldn’t be able to for four more large on-line orders were ahead of us.

We took our check for the apps and left extremely disappointed.

I’d heard nothing but good things about this place and the food, but I don’t appreciate the lack of communication, not sure I’m ever going to bother going there again.

Having moved to California several years ago, I genuinely miss a tavern style pizza. They’re almost impossible to find and even when I do come across one, it’s never as good as the pizzas I grew up eating in the Chicagoland Region. In Northwest Indiana, my favorite pie is still Aurelio’s. Always consistent. Always fresh. I’m simple: cheese and sausage. Can’t beat it.

Had the Taco Pizza. Just average. Wouldn't order again.

Food is excellent. Minus one star for their ridiculous hours. A pizzaria that closes at 8:30 on Fridays and Saturdays? They get so slammed with orders at the end of the evening (because they close so early) that they have to start turning away business.

I ordered from here a few days ago. Unfortunately they have been hit by the inflation bug too. I ordered a Chicago stuffed pizza. I grew up on this place for almost 50yrs in Illinois. So it bring me to tears to write this review. I used to love their pizza, but my stuffed pizza was mostly dough and sauce with very little cheese. I know flour, water, sauce doesn’t cost that much, and cheese does. But the cheese was so little almost like it was forgotten about. Couldn’t even taste it. Now I know you can do better cause like I said above, I was raised on your pizza. I much rather you raise the price then skimp on quality. Bring back the pizza I love please!

We only ordered pizza for pick up. The cashier was a sweet lady who was very friendly and patient since I wasn't sure about what to order. This was our 1st time here.

Unfortunately, we did not stay and try it out as they said they were not making stuffed pizza at the time, which is the reason we traveled to this location.
