Classic good local family Mexican restaurant.

We ordered quite a bit of food & drinks. The bigger table that came after us got all their food and drinks before we did. We had to ask for our appetizers 20 minutes after ordering. Which came out lukewarm as well as my son’s food. The service was awful. The waitress never smiled and would walk away before we finished talking. Our bill should have been $100 and we were charged $120. Apparently for Indiana tax as well as their own personal fee on taxes and a card fee. We asked to have them explain the bill and they said everything was correct and then proceeded to take $13 off the bill afterwards and then we check our bank account and they still charged us the previous total. We also got a meal to go which part of the meal was missing. (Didn’t realize until we got home). We LOVE this restaurant and the service and experience tonight just wasn’t it.

Well I will say my bride rated her meal a 5 . She actually had the pineapple fajitas. A combination of carved fresh pineapple chicken steak chorizo shrimp with grilled onions bell pepper and pineapple all served on a sizzling fajita plate with a side of rice beans lettuce tomatoes guacamole. She actually ordered the single and it was enough to probably get three meals out of plenty of food there.
Are appetizer was choriqueso with chips and it was good.
The salsa that comes with the chips and salsa was about average. Are waiter and the staff couldn't have been better very attentive brought us whatever we needed.
I decided to go with chilaquiles. The chilaquiles here comes in a red sauce with chicken I opted for a steak in place of the chicken.
A few bites and I knew this meal wasn't for me. In my opinion and my opinion only it was very bland tasting where I could taste the tomato sauce only it seemed seem to have no seasoning or flavor. After the first few bites I set it to the side and will the staff did ask if I wanted something else in place of it I opted not to have anything else as I was planning on having a desert. They did credit my check for the amount of the chilaquiles as I did not like it.
I did however have a sopapilla with fried ice cream on top and it was outstanding. So I guess you could say our rating a five for my brides meal. A zero for mine, and the five for the desert.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is always great. Would love to try something different there but love their tacos. The service is always fun and we love the people there.

We had the Taco Salad Fajita and an order of Luncheon Fajitas. Both delicious! The chips were restaurant made, and the salsa mild but one of the best we've tasted on our travels. This place is well worth the short distance from SR 31. We have put it on our list for future stops! Highly recommended.

Only place I've ever been to where they can't roll a burrito so you can pick it up. First time I ordered there was cheese on top of it... we asked for the cheese to be put on the inside so we could pick it up the second time. We didn't taste cheese it was mostly sour cream and beans in the steak burrito and it was cold. For the price it wasn't great. the burrito is more like toppings thrown on a plate with a tortilla blanket on top. I've been to authentic Mexican restaurants in Chicago and Lowell Indiana and they know how to wrap a tight burrito that you can pick up and eat.
