Just passing through Rochester, wanting Mexican food, so I stopped. I just had one of the best chimichangas I've ever had. The salsa was good, the folks are friendly. If I ever pass by there again I will definitely return.

there's that saying. never order Mexican. East of 35, or North of 20. this place reinforces that stereotype. I'm usually of the thought that the harder it is to pronounce the name the better the food, but this place breaks the rules of how sheety the food is. I ordered the beef fajitas. see the attached photo, it's all veg.. not worth the price tag. and it was super salty. get your fix somewhere else. Fine for the locals who don't have a frame of reference, but sad face from a Texan.

El Cielito Lindo is my in-laws’ go-to spot in their town, and after going several times with them, I completely understand why. We went today for my mother-in-law’s birthday, and once again, they did not disappoint.
As a Mexican myself, I can say their food is authentic and consistently delicious. The menu has variety, and no matter what we try, it’s always flavorful and satisfying. The service is just as impressive, the staff recognizes and remembers us, and we always feel welcome. We often get the same waiter, and while I wish I remembered his name, we’re always glad to see him because he’s attentive and kind. Today the owner even came out to check on us and brought us a salsa we asked for, which speaks volumes about the care they put into their restaurant.
It feels family-run, and that warmth comes through in both the food and the service. We never get tired of coming here, and it’s a place we truly look forward to every time we visit.

Amazing food! Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant, blows all the TX and OK Mexican food out of the water. (Born and raised in TX don't be coming at me lol) The carnitas tacos Mexican style are the bomb and the best thing I've had so far is the Chile Colorado but with green salsa basically a Chile Verde ohhhh that was so dang good

Me and my wife stop never been there figured we try the place she had steak fajitas witch was 1/2 of what most Mexican restaurants do I had a big burrito 90% rice . As soon as we ate we were both sick to are stomach 15 mins we very sick will never go back
