I'm editing a previous review (EXTREMELY NEGATIVE) from a few years ago. This was while the buffet was still alive so it's safe to say it's pre-Covid era. The quality of food had taken a steady, sharp decline, more than inedible. Absolutely atrocious would've been an understatement!! I can remember our failed attempts that day with the hunks of potato paste and flakes trying to make them into a food our kids could consume!? The many piece free meal sent to replace the hot dumpster fire wasn't even redeemed! Flash forward to current day- my belly can't stomach fast food anymore from a few medical issues. When my family chooses the in town route, other restaurants than KFC just aren't a viable option for me. I could live off the pot pies, bowls, and concoctions I conjure with the sides to change things up. As for the testimony of an experience we had today tho. On the home front, we'd been working on a horse, a couple goats, etc with issues with the weather change. COMPLETELY FRUSTRATED!! Fast food, the solution. I pre- ordered my food online for KFC (the app is 👏🤝👌) Walk in and it's like a ghost town!?! Except for this rap music? 😩🥴 Looking around my daughter and I noticed 2 gentlemen vicariously working. 1 scrubbing stuff behind the counter, around the food, the other washing off tables and sweeping the dining area. Looking for my food, I hesitate to hear curse words from the radio, BUT I DON'T!!!? I start hear to God and the good Lord, and assume it's not used in the correct context. Sooo my daughter who's been having a trying day, begins to shuffle in the jams, strawberry of course. This younger man is listening to a hip hop song we looked up in the truck afterwards, that was called Family Man by Rare of Breed. Quite an inspirational song!! Please do not mistaken this for a religious reason or another, but that they weren't standing around on their phones, being non-productive, or even nonexistent. Very motivational. It's not often anymore you see those who TRULY are giving 110% and want to do the right thing. It says a lot for this store that at one point my dogs wouldn't eat their food! To add that my daughter has found another new Christian artist to listen to at her delicate stage in life, at an age when simply seeing grown ups listening to music about Christ being a bop as uplifting is a 100 star alone to me!!! Not once has my pot pie been burnt or nasty. My potatoes been flakes. The dogs even had the chance to taste if they're any better. Their hours are now later. The store has changed, for the better!! So in my review I felt like my negative feedback deserved to be changed to a positive. As people can, change!! Thank you KFC and these guys tonight for turning our not so wonderful night into an awesome night!!

25 min wait turned into a 45min wait said they would give me a free large side I said that's fine only to get home and didn't receive the side I ordered or the extra free side I was told I was getting
Chicken nothing fancy lot has changed for the brand. I remember buffet, chocolate desserts in cups, original Chicken Littles that were square.

Just went through drive through to get lunch. I ordered the chicken little meal. Opened first one you could not even bite into it, it literally would not let you bite through it. I tried second one and same thing. U literally could not bite your teeth into it. Would not come apart. This place needs to be shut down. It’s just terrible. If you could rate this place -100 that’s still being generous.. DISGUSTING

The KFC in Salem, IN is by far the worst KFC I have ever visited. For this particular visit I ordered a Chizza combo in the app. They told me they didn't have the ingredients to make it. They should have done a better job stocking ingredients, but things happen. However, this wasn't the only issue. I also ordered a 5 piece nugget. They weren't even nuggets. It was just 5 small pieces cut up from a chicken strip. They replaced my Chizza with a 5 piece chicken strip. They only gave me one sauce pack for 5 chicken strips and a 5 piece nugget. That's not near enough sauce and they should know that. These are just the latest in a long series of issues with this location. They frequently over cook chicken, or just dispense substandard chicken in general. I have been denied side substitutions on multiple occasions for family meals when every otherKFC I have been to has never had a problem giving substitutions. They haven't taken part in multiple promotions offered in the app. I will not go back to this place. Whoever owns the franchise needs to clean up the issues that this place has had for years, or they need to sell to someone who will. Every other KFC I have ever been to is better than this place.

The manager and 2 crew members working with her were fantastic being gracious and helpful while working with limited supplies and other crew members on top of having to deal with a line of customers in store and out. I'm currently out of electricity and they helped with supper for my household (5). Great place for employment. Tremendous customer service!!!

I went through the drive-through to get my lunch. I ordered a chicken pot pie. I had not had 1 in a while, and that sounded good. My 2nd bite into it. I had something stab my inside of my mouth. It was a bone. The size of my pinky finger. I called to report it and asked for a refund. The manager said that they make them in store and some times that happens. Well, if that was a kid that had bit into the bone, it could have been worse . I couldn't eat it after that.
