“Wow! We are picky about our meatloaf. Tracy's has meatloaf on Tuesdays. It is AMAZING! Good portions for $9.00! First time i ever been in. And will definitely NOT be my last. You've got yourself 2 new customers! The wait staff were so nice and polite! A+++”
“Wonderful dining experience! We stopped in around brunch time. For anyone local to Indiana who knows of the old Golden Gables (now closed) western omelet and misses it, stop in the Dinner Bell and get you one of theirs. Just the aroma of the omelet passing by you as they place it on the table will be a flashback to the past. And I definitely recommend the pancakes, as well! Fun diner experience with the old school checkered floors and Coca-Cola memorabilia :) The staff was friendly and efficient, and food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back again!Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly dining atmosphere.”
“Family owned for decades. Delicious pizzas, subs and pastas. They have daily specials and a salad bar. They also have great appetizers like chicken wings and fried pickles. Friendly family atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Half the parking lot is level with the front door. Easy access.”
“Service was very prompt and food was amazing! It was the best fried buffalo chicken sandwich my husband has ever had! Very impressed with how fresh and still fast everything was. Also good options if you're gluten free; the chocolate torte was my favorite part!”
“My wife and I love it here — it’s our favorite place to eat in Salem. The food is always great. However, today’s order makes the second time in a row that our carry out order was wrong. We paid an extra $3 for fried rice instead of white rice for both of our meals, yet we received white rice with one of them. This has happened twice in a row now, same instance both times. We will continue eating here — but will be checking each carton before leaving. We live 15 minutes away, so it isn’t worth driving back into town, but it’s pretty annoying having been two orders in a row now. If you order carry out, I strongly recommend checking your items before leaving.”
“They have the best ovens your pizza is cooked in 3 minutes.Vegetarian options: You can pick your toppings and get all veggies if you want.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp.”
“Best place to go in town to get a good draft beer, multiple domestics and crafts on tap and a great environment with phenomenal service! I highly recommend this establishment.”
“this is the BEST Chinese food in southern Indiana! I know people in Floyd and Harrison County who drive to Salem for this food. I love their shrimp lomein and egg rolls. Delicious! Price is good and owners are very friendly. Last time I walked in the owner was sitting at a table popping string beans lol! You can even get the buffet in a to-go box and pay by the pound. next time I wanna try their Japanese food and sushi.”
“I love the flavor and spiciness of the ground beef they use to make the burritos. Since I find all the authentic Mexican restaurants to be bland, I must be a Tex-mex fan. If you want your Mexican food full of flavor and spice, Tumbleweeds is the place for you. I just wish I didn't have to travel 2 hours to get to one.”
“I've been to this buffet twice now and both times have been pleasant. Even though I did not thoroughly enjoy the food here I cannot knock them because they are catering to the small town country folk palate. The residents of Salem are unaccustomed to the strong, complex flavors or genuine Chinese food so the way this restaurant's cooks prepare their food is understandable. The staff are polite and readily available if you need anything. Overall I rate this place as a great.”
“Some would say that I am particularly partial when writing this review, but I as well am known to be a very honest and straightforward person. With that being said, I used to work at this establishment as well as my younger sister, Autumn as well currently works there and I can tell you now not only service, but the food is beyond. Amazing . It will surpass any expectation you have of a Mexican restaurant in the heart of a small town as Salem Indiana. The service is phenomenal. And you just get a family oriented vibe when interacting with the staff. The owner Does not just oversee the business. He is very involved, hands-on and one on one with not only the customer but his employees as well and I can say the same for his wife. If you are wanting an experience where it’s big bang for your buck, please give them a try. You will not disappoint yourself. If I were going to give a if you are wanting an experience where it’s big bang for your buck, please give them a try. You will not disappoint yourself. If I were going to give a recommendation on what to get, I would either recommend the chicken cheese and rice, which is a bit of authentic Mexican rice, filled with mini spices to satisfy your taste buds layered with seasoned grilled chicken, fresh off the grill topped with creamy white queso and if you wanna go a step up, you can add fajita veggies, which is a mixture of bell peppers and onions, fresh off the grill also. I would recommend your classic Mexican dish of enchiladas Verde style which is with the green tangy hint of sweet sauce to top your choice of beef, chicken or cheese enchiladas with a side of Mexican rice. Happy eatings and hopefully you enjoy this place as much as I have, and will continue to.”
“Got the pepperoni pizzas and break sticks, pizza was pretty good, wish the bottom was a little crispier dining room is small but has a nice big TV on wall to watch/listen to.the old school Mitsubishis in the back was cool big ”
“Always good. Difficult to get there with the current construction but good pizza and good people.Vegetarian options: Vegetable pizza and several appetizers & desserts.Parking: Small lot but spaces are most always availableWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking and entry is availableDietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions should be able to be met based on the menu and build your own pizza options”
“Took a scenic drive to downtown Salem. Place was pretty full and we were seated immediately. Served brought chips and salsa right away in a big bottle. It was very good! I ordered a margarita and my husband got a Modelo. We also ordered the Maguey queso as an appetizer. It was good, reminded me of a rotel cheese dip my mom makes! I got the shrimp street tacos which were delicious! Tangy sauce with jalapeño. My husband enjoyed his fajita burrito. Will be back with friends when it's warm enough to enjoy the outdoor patio!”
“First time eating here and it didn't disappoint. Very good home cooked food and fast and friendly service. I figured how full the parking lot was it had to be good. Had the roast beef manhattan, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Definitely would come back!”
