We came here with a large group of people after my daughter competed in a pageant in Salem and the food lives rent free in my head. The salsa is the best salsa I have ever had in my life and I am the woman that doesn’t know what ends first my stomach capacity or the chips and salsa. El Maguey Mexican Restaurant is known for its friendly staff and delightful atmosphere. The food portions were a great size and their food lives rent free in their heads. The salsa is the best salsa ever had. The restaurant is suitable for kids, as they provide coloring books to keep them entertained. It is wheelchair accessible. The restaurant is popular and can get busy, but seating is usually quick. They offer chips, salsa, and a big bottle of it upon arrival. The Maguey queso appetizer is a popular choice, and their margaritas and Modelo beer are refreshing. The shrimp street tacos and fajita burrito are highly recommended. The outdoor patio is an added bonus for warm weather visits with friends. The smell as the food was coming out to the table was delectable. The flavor of shrimp and peppers with a really good seasoning blend. The music on the overhead speakers was fun. Lots of servers visible at all times, all clean and happy looking.
