I have been a regular customer of this restaurant for five years. Previously, it was always that tall and slender woman who served us. Whether it was for a dine-in or takeout, her service was always quick and friendly. But these two times, we didn't see her! The new woman who came in replaced her. Her service was very poor and extremely slow. We sat there for twenty minutes without seeing her. Yesterday, we ordered a dish of Sichuan beef, but it tasted terrible and we also found a cockroach in it.
Another dish even had plastic wrap! We discovered it halfway through the meal. By midnight, we started having diarrhea! Today, we went to the hospital for a check-up and the result was food poisoning. It seems we should file a claim with this restaurant. We won't come here again and we won't recommend it to our neighbors either. The residents nearby can try Golden Phoenix.

Two days ago, I ordered two dishes at GJin restaurant. I noticed that one of them had hair in it, and the other had a steel wire brush! We were halfway through eating when we suddenly felt like vomiting... From now on, I won't dare to eat at this place anymore.……

Had sweet and sour chicken super over cooked and the lady was super super rude on the phone! What a waste of money don’t bother getting food from here! Lady that answers the phone will also gaslight you into thinking you’re wrong and also gets super upset that you don’t know their menu. No thank you I wanted a refund at that point but looks like it won’t be happening.

Been ordring here for years. Woman was rude on the phone, always in a rush, can barely give your order, We literally ordered 2 simple dinner combos. My daughter got S&S chicken, Which is very, very basic and standard. The chicken pieces were so burnt and overcooked. They were dark brown, dried out and inedible. I ordered Szechuan vegetables which I’ve ordered my entire life at many many restaurants, Szechuan sauce has always been a brown gravy based sauce that they can make a little spicy. Get food home, the schezwuan saice is thick, orange-gel like, sauce and grease is already coming out of my container, The vegetables were saggy and orange pink colored from being cooked in sweet and sour sauce, It was so thick and sugary, It was in edible. I called up there to let them know, Not angry or aggressive, The woman who answered the phone was so rude, So aggressive, So shitty. She accuse me of not knowing what Szechuan sauce should be, Insisted it is always a red sauce Refused to believe that my daughter’s chicken was burned, She said “ We have sold a lot of that today and no one has complained”, soooooo, Are you implying that you cook one perfect batch at 11 AM and then serve that all day or what?? Did not offer a refund, We did not want our food replaced at this point, I just said forget it I’ll throw it And we won’t eat here again (Ordered from them for 15+ years btw) she said “OK” & HUNG UP on me! Lol. Do nottt NOT Patronize this business or waste your money. 2 Crappy dinners cost me $30 that went in the trash. Never again!

Man oh man! I just tried this place today, September 29,2024. I placed a pick up for the Kao Pao Chicken lunch special($9.95)- It comes with the protein, fried or white rice and an egg roll. The portion sizes are extremely big for the price. You can easily eat on it 2-3 times. It was fresh and delicious. They have a friend in me!

I moved into town a year ago and G. Jin is my local Chinese restaurant. In that time, I have ordered from them 14 times. Obviously, the convenience of having take out Chinese minutes away from home is very appealing. However, the convenience is outweighed by the negative food experiences.

During Lent this year (2024/02), I had the Hunan Shrimp. I didn't get full food poisoning symptoms, but I did get diarrhea and decided I would not go back to G. Jin for seafood again.

Later, I had the Beef Egg Foo Young (2024/07). I expected something close to an omelette, but it was more like a ball of noodles, egg, and beef deep fried into one giant mass of food. It has absolutely no flavor to it. I couldn't taste the egg or the beef, and the water from the noodles was trapped inside of the mass making it a soggy mess.

After that, I deleted my password and didn't order Chinese for the entire month of August. I was committed to not making the same mistake.

Lastly, I had the Sesame Chicken (2024/09), a staple of Chinese-American restaurants. Horrible mistake, I should have gone with the Lo Mein. You know when you order deep fried food and you get a ball of batter with no meat? There were many of these. The chicken was very stringy, with some bits that I had to spit out. I wasn't able to finish the meal, unlike most Chinese food where I don't leave a single bite.

And that's where the trouble started. I was woken up with indigestion 10 hours after eating it. Constipation for 16 hours. Even after alleviating that symptom, I am doubled over in pain from my intestines past noon the next day.

Now, you might ask why I don't just stick with one of the other 11 meals and why I keep experimenting with other dishes. Well, treating the menu like a minefield is already a red flag, but the other dishes are just... ok. I've had better orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken before. The beef dishes were just ok.

Since deleting my password wasn't good enough, hopefully posting this review will disincentivize me from ordering Chinese and getting this physically sick again.

I had called to place an order for pick up and the lady on the phone sounded like she was a mile away it was very quiet and very hard to hear her so I was kindly asking for her to repeat what she said because I couldn't hear , she took my phone number, and before I could try to place the order, she got angry I couldn't hear her and said something rude and hung up! My phone works perfectly fine but she said something in not English and then hung up! So rude!!! Never going to bother going there or calling again! F that! Get your phones fixed!!! Mine works fine , in fact my phone is brand new!!! ???
