Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store

What a great place to visit!!! Discovered this recently wanting some good dairy after a visit to a meat market. At first I thought it was just an ice cream shop, but they had milk and butter and fridges of other items. Then we decided to get a scoop of ice cream for the road. The lady heard us mumbling about what I probably could/could not try and she pulled out a book that broke down better-than-general allergy information and shared the ingredients for the flavors I wanted to try to really be sure!! It was wonderful service and delicious ice cream (butter pecan and egg nog).
Went back with holiday guests and different people, same outstanding service. Upbeat, go the extra mile, truly take all the time you need, friendly, well trained people!!! No one lagging on cell phones or too busy to help. They all work as a team to make the customer smile.

Nothing special. Stood there for 10 minutes just waiting to order while the employees all stood around talking. Then gave an attitude when they realized they had to serve me.

Yesterday we stopped at the Oberweis in Schererville, IN and were beyond impressed by Angelina, the only person running the entire store! Taking and filling orders at the counter AND the drive-through which appeared to be having audio issues, hand delivering perfect in-store orders to customers, accurately filling all drive-through orders and washing all of the equipment needed to make shakes and everything else she was serving. Incredible work ethic!! All while maintaining her composure, providing stellar service with a smile and a genuine guest service attitude. BRAVO Angelina and thank you!!! A true asset who should be recognized and compensated for going above and beyond in very difficult circumstances. Oh, and the ice cream was fantastic!

I had a very positive experience with a young lady cashier named Peyton. She was very kind and a great salesperson. She deserves a big raise… also please order me some Swiss yogurt. I’m a dedicated and proud oberweis rewards member and often times I make stops at oberweis just to buy a bunch of little Swiss yogurts. And it pisses me off that they are never in stock. Please let me know what the deal is with those. And also give Peyton a raise she is outstanding ???

Went to get icecream with my mom at this location. The restaurant was clean and the icecream was good. The main issue was the short brunette girl working at the cash register who didn't want to serve us because to her we weren't thin enough to eat icecream. If you dont want to serve people bigger than a size 4 then put that on the door and we can segregate to another business. And im extra confused because she's not thin either.

This review is solely based on the service I received in the drive thru. I had a craving fir ice cream so I drove 30 mins for my favorite flavors. I politely ordered 3 quarts. I'm not sure what was happening but I had the repeat my order multiple times. Irritating, but no biggie. I get to the window, pay, and leave. Get home and only had two of my quarts. I don't know why the worker did not confirm my order. Now the ice cream was ???. As I knew it would be, I'm very disappointed in the service I received.
