Pepe's Mexican Restaurant

The owner of this establishment is very unprofessional. I placed a walk in order for two taco. I asked for America cheese on one. When I got home I noticed that there was cheddar cheese instead. I called and the $#@ owner talked over me. Now let me remind you that I was not rude to him. I couldn't believe the attitude that I was getting and didn't pay for. So I kindly asked who am I speaking to and he raised his voice and said I'm the owner we don't do American cheese here and hung up. All of this nonsense over some CHEESEEEE. WOW. lawd ha mercy. I'm not and will not go here again.

Excellent service and food. We were greeted promptly, given 2 kinds of salsa and had our drinks delivered immediately. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was hot, fresh and delicious.

I'm surprised with some of the good reviews this place has. I've been to other Pepe's locations, and they are far better than this location. I ordered a steak burrito, and I was given a chicken burrito. I went back to get what I ordered, and the manager told me not to go back. I'm just blown away! After this experience, I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Look Taco Bell is so expensive now for like 5 to 8 bucks for family of 3 you can order Pepes take out and have real meat inside you food!

Pepe's establishment has been around for a long time AND in my opinion they STILL have the best tacos!!! Their restaurant is quaint and artsy; lots of beautiful paintings on the walls. The hosts are always friendly! I mostly take out but I have dined in, as well. Both experiences were pleasurable! I always order the beef tacos on soft corn shells.

The absolute worst restaurant in NWI & Chi. Any location is garbage. Most of the food here is just sad, flavorless ground beef with slices of American cheese slapped on. It's legitimately pathetic and just needs to close already for the community's wellbeing. A solid 2 out of 10. I really hate this place, an ABOMINATION to Mexican cuisine. If someone says they enjoy this, they're lying. Where is Gordon Ramsey?
