Stopped by on a Tuesday morning for a celebratory birthday brunch for my mom. Bailey was our server and she was phenomenal! Food was amazing and portions are definitely sizeable. Thanks again!

Great food , great service.

Always good, down-home food and great service! Clean, friendly, and comfortable. Best for breakfast! Try the omelets. Generous portions with sides. Hint: Open early, they close after lunch. Oh, and I didn't mention there are THREE locations, all family-owned... Highland, Schererville, and Merrillville. Enjoy!

The first time we went here everything was awesome and there's always food to take home. But I'm not so sure what happened after! My ? pancake and my bacon ? is undercook and raw!

Stopped here for breakfast about a week ago. Various people had recommended Sophia's so we gave it a try.
The food and service was very good.
They're famous for pancakes, although we had something different.
Overall, you won't be disappointed.

Clean, friendly staff, and fast service. Food tastes great.

The experience was awful. Tried to order the grilled catfish but we ordered and waited for 45 minutes and never received the order. While regular customers who ordered after us received their burgers. Unacceptable… it doesn't take fish 45 minutes to grill.. Poor service and treatment. Stick to breakfast and if you are not a regular customer…. be prepared to wait.

I ordered a Banana foster waffle. The waffle was cooked perfectly and delicious. Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu. A friend ordered the Banana Royal waffle, think all the ingredients of a banana split on top of a fluffy, warm waffle

Would give ZERO stars if I could!! Horrible service horrible waitress don’t get the lady with the brown updo and collagen in her lips if you’re a minority she clearly wasn’t trying to serve us! Came in they sat us right down, took her 10 minutes to bring us water but she only brought 3 there were 4 of us saying she didn’t see the 4th person. Ok fine, but she was supposed to come back with it and our drinks and never did. Instead someone else brought it to us 10 minutes later. Then we sat there for another 10 minutes, watched a couple who was seated AFTER us get their food and start chowing down, meanwhile we haven’t even placed our order yet!!! Asked for the manager, she defended the waitress saying she was busy—lady we literally watched this woman walk pass us MULTIPLE times helping other people bringing them to go boxes cleaning dishes off their table things that could have waited until AFTER she took our freaking order!! Asked for a different waiter manager said yes then walked off and did NOTHING!! Kept making her rounds and talking to other people NEVER sent another waitress. We just walked out told her we weren’t paying for the drinks didn’t even drink much of them. Total waste of 35-40 minutes!!!
