I like all Steak n Shakes I’ve been to but this one is definitely run the best and employees do a good job with the food, burger and fries done the best compared to other locations.

I am very disappointed. I ordered a number 5 the garlic double steak burger. And FROM THE MIDDLE TO the ENTIRE LEFT SIDE of burger, the bun was burnt to a crisp. Each time it but it was hard and dry (like toast). and sucked…the fries were also dry and didn’t have seasoning but maybe they stopped that since I’d been in highschool like 2019-2020. But yea I’m really sad only one side of the burger is thawed enough to eat the flavor isn’t that prevalent on the right side either. my meal was $12. Not a satisfying meal at all.

This location of Steak & Shake is the best kept secret for fantastic fresh cooked food at affordable prices. No more $22 hamburger meals at the five gents place. And any golden arch desires should dissolve faster than grass in the desert. All in meal with no compromises is just $10 here. And it’s fantastic.
And let’s talk French fries. The best in the area. The beef tallow makes a huge difference. And I can tell they keep their grease fresh with no rancid aftertaste (unlike every McDonald’s I’ve visited).
And while I wasn’t excited to see them go with no servers and order from the kiosk, I will say their ordering system is easy and the surprise? They don’t beg you for a tip. Truly self service and they realize that soliciting tips in this type of a restaurant would alienate many potential customers (hello Starbucks. Hello McDonald’s)
Compliments to the owner/operator of this location. Keep up the great work and maintain your budget friendly pricing and you will have business from now until eternity.

Service was great food was good. The atmosphere at 10 -11 o'clock? Never again! A bunch of young immature disrespectful kids. Cussing and just hanging out. Wasn't any drama or anything like that but just rude and loud. I guess the workers are use to it because nothing was said. But I honestly think it was a bit much.. oh yeah eggnog shake is fire. If you go that late go through drive thru or get your food to go

I was in the mood for a juicy burger! With that in mind, I decided to swing on by the Steak n Shake in Schererville. Decided to order the Frisco Melt (is this a burger or sandwich?) and it turned out to be a tasty meal! The patty was juicy and the special sauce was nice and tangy. Tastes similar to thousand island dressing but better! I loved the thin and crispy show string fries. Safe to say I was a happy camper that day!

I had an awesome experience at Steak ’n Shake thanks to Erin, the hostess. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome right away. She was friendly, professional, and super attentive without ever seeming rushed. Erin handled the busy crowd with ease, kept the wait time organized, and made sure everyone was taken care of. You can tell she really cares about giving great service. It’s rare to meet someone who manages the front with that level of patience and positivity. Because of Erin, my visit started off on a great note and the whole experience was smooth. She’s definitely a standout employee and a big reason I’d come back!

Place was great for my first time being at a Stake n Shake. This location is fully self service inside with a helper employee. Only downside is that the men's bathroom needed cleaning, but that was probably due to the late night rush.
