“Schwätzer’s German Restaurant in Seymour is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. The warm, cozy atmosphere made it feel like we were dining in someone’s home rather than a restaurant—and the staff were just as inviting. Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the food, they offered fantastic suggestions that made our meal unforgettable. We started with the brisket egg rolls, and wow—just wow. Crispy on the outside, packed with tender brisket, sauerkraut, and melted Swiss on the inside. It’s the kind of appetizer that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. For mains, we went with the Jägerschnitzel and the Rouladen. The Jägerschnitzel was perfectly breaded and topped with a rich mushroom gravy that was pure comfort food. The Rouladen, with its savory blend of beef, pickle, onion, carrot, and bacon, was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Both dishes were hearty, satisfying, and incredibly well-prepared. Overall, the experience at Schwätzer’s was top-notch. Great food, an inviting atmosphere, and service that felt personal and thoughtful. If you're anywhere near Seymour, this place is a must-visit.”

“I like to rate a meal on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being perfect, and rarely give more than an 8 or 9, even if the meal is really good. I went a week ago, and the burger and fries were amazing. Definitely a 10, not a 9, not a 9.5. The best burger I've had in years. So good I went back yesterday, just to make sure. Damn, another 10. Burger and fries were perfect! It's on my must stop list if I am in Seymour, Indiana. I don't care what else they have to offer. I'm sure it would be great, but I'm going with what I know will be great.

Parking: I am not sure, but I think the side parking lot is marked for another business.”

“This is our favorite date night spot whether it’s out at the outdoor patio when the weather is nice or inside by the fireplace when it’s cold! Tonight we had the brisket Philly cheesesteak and hand cut fries. My hubby also had the wings and he said “best in Seymour!” The drinks are always fantastic! Tom does a great job! Go check it out!”

“We went in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food is cooked right in front of the counter! It's a family ran business for 50 years. Hamburgers with cooked onions with hand cut fries(had some of the longest fries I've ever seen) that are so so good! Kathy was our server. She was very helpful with our ordering(even tho they were so busy) decisions. We are so grateful for her suggestions for lunch and for her taking the time she didn't have to help us. She will definitely be our server everytime!!!! It's an old time diner, very nostalgic and with vintage pictures on the wall. Liz larrison(owner) was right up front on the grill just cooking away. They still make milkshakes the old fashioned way too!! They are always busy but it's worth walking thru that door!!! They close everyday at 2pm so if your hungry, get on in there before they close. It's a definite must stop for anyone traveling on interstate 65 exit 50, Seymour, IN”

At first glance at the menu I thought the prices were a bit high, but when our food came out I was happily surprised by how large the portion sizes were! I also ordered the Azul Mares Margarita and it was refreshing! They also offer a mexican food buffet. I would definitely recommend dining here!!”

“A giant SHOUT OUT to the McAlister's (Seymour) location. Not only are sandwiches astounding, and their prices fair, but they are the Chick-fil-A of deli customer service. There was a rare problem with our order (mine), and the woman manager on duty bent over backwards to make sure we were satisfied. It was GOOD, old-fashioned customer service. That means a LOT to us, because when we had one of our New Hampshire businesses, we had 60,000 customers--and five complaints (all resolved to the satisfaction of the complainants). Good customer service is NOT rocket science, but if it would be, the young lady at the Seymour location (and the rest of her friendly staff) would be "Mission Control." Well-done, Seymour McAlister's.”

I complained about the price (15$) 🤯 because I’m cheap & this is about the same price I pay for a cheesesteak back in Colorado.
However, the flavor smashes on my spot in 80207. Sandwich 🥪 was Bomb 💣 lettuce
🥬 and tomatoes 🍅 were fresh and crispy
When the flavors are on point the money 💵 doesn’t matter & I’d Mos Def do it again.
Service was swift and the gentlemen who tended to me were super polite

“I ordered 2 large pizza and I made sure no anchovy but I ended up one with anchovy. I called and complained and they gave me another one plus delivered. I felt bat didn't get to give another tips for the driver since I wasn't the one who opened the door and didn't get to catch him on time. “The food is good. The offer some deals to people who have their app. However these deals change. I noticed recently that the bacon king was no longer offered as a deal. So getting one means paying 3-4 dollars more than the old offer on their app. It left me wondering if they just did it to change some things up, or if it was to get people used to ordering them, and then killing the deal to make more money. With how much inflation has affected the country in the last several years, people have had to speculate about pricing when things change. The food is certainly good and the prices are better than most. Their wifi let me in long enough to order, but later took a dump and I couldn't get it to let me connect again (correction, I could connect, but not get it to pop up again to accept the terms, so no more internet connection basically). The staff is friendly though. I'd venture they might have reset the customer wifi if I had asked. But I tend to be prepared for such contingencies with entertainment that doesn't require WiFi.”

“My wife and I really enjoyed our recent visit to Cracker Barrel. We were seated right away and the manager, Angie was very accommodating since my wife has some mobility issues. She helped us to our table and sent our server, Quinton right over. Our food was delicious, and we never had to ask for refills on our coffee. We will happily visit again.”
