This was the best of the rest I have been told it is closed permanently and that is very disappointing but I would like to thank Shirley and Marsha for all that they have done not just for me but for the community that we live in you all were great and thank you to Donna and shella we always had excellent service and top notch food you are all going to be missed and so you know who this is right now I'm getting over broken ribs love you and miss you all have a good life I hope it works out for you all

Our family lucked out and found this place online. We like to try locally owned restaurants when traveling and we loved this place owned by Shirley. Our waitress, Donna, was extremely friendly and helpful. Service was fast for our kid’s meals they ordered and my husband and I had the buffet. I loved their mashed potatoes, he enjoyed the sweet potatoes and green beans and we both loved the very flavorful fried chicken. It may be the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten! It was delicious- juicy, crispy on the outside and full of flavor. We ordered slices of pie to go and they look amazing! We got to meet the owner, a delightful lady who has owned and operated the restaurant since 1968! We live about an hour away and will make a trip back here in the future.

So the waitress was really nice and attentive, but that's about the only thing that was pleasant, upon walking up to the establishment I could smell the dirty fryers, the prices are low but you definitely get what you pay for, this restaurant tells me the Shelbyville health department isn't living up to its name.

Well made country food. Caring and nice waitress. She frequently checks on the guests. Very cost effective menu. Around $10 per person. Regulars have a nice community here too. Highly recommend coming here instead of a chain by the highway.
