So glad I finally tried this. At first I thought it was like every other Mexican restaurant in town but I was pleasantly surprised. Love the atmosphere it was super fun and neat. They did amazing work on the space! The food was quick, hot, and yummy. The barria tacos were so good. Everything was great. Highly suggest trying them out!

This was my first trip to the newly opened San Jose. There are lots of tables and booths. The restaurant is fresh and clean. My girl friends and I went for lunch on a Friday and were seated right away. We munched on our chips and salsa while waiting for our food. My beef chimichanga was nicely seasoned and came with rice and salad. My friends enjoyed their enchiladas. I must say that the food I had was not as bland as other Mexican restaurants in town, and the menu has lots of options. I did have a hard time finding the right drive to use. It is in a strip mall with no entrance from St Rd 44. So you enter from the back of the strip mall.

Gave you a little tiny bowl for salsa, then never asked if you needed any more. Red sauce I'm pretty sure was pizza sauce. But it was good food

This was my first visit to San Jose Mexican restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised. The remodeling was very nice. A clean and organized appearance was noted. The food selection was good, lots of traditional dishes and several house specials. I selected Arroz Con Pollo. The dish was delicious and arrived at my table quickly. Service was also attentive, making my first visit a memorable experience. I wi certainly be returning.

Finally, we have an authentic Mexican restaurant in Shelbyville that serves multiple dishes that are authentic from Central and Southern Mexico. One of my favorite dishes is siete mares. It is a seafood soup with seven different seafoods in the soup. It is somewhat a little spicy, but I recommend eating it a little extra spicy.
