5/20 Country Kitchen Reviews
Buyer beware! We had a party of 3 for early afternoon on Saturday. We were seated right away quickly ordered. We chose to add the salad bar to our lunch and we’re charged a full price for the salad bar on top of our order. 13.00 each. It’s not disclosed on the menu so you pay for your meal and salad bar is just not an up charge it’s full price??? Our bill for lunch was 78.00. With no drinks. I won’t be back soon.
On our visit to the restaurant, they were out of all sugar free drinks. She said we could have water. The chicken was overdone and very greasy. The baked potato was overdone also and brown on the inside. We asked about what pie they had and informed they were out of them. It was 4:30 in the afternoon.
Upon being asked how was everything, we told them about the chicken and potato. She listened and then just walked away. We will never go again. It was a total waste of money.
Menu
The 5/20 Country Kitchen has been a long-standing establishment, with some customers visiting for over 20 years and even working there in the late 80s. Although the food has always been good, the menu options have become limited, and prices have increased. The service is prompt, and the restaurant is clean and friendly, providing a quick dining experience.
The chicken and baked sweet potatoes are popular dishes, especially for those with dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been impacted by staffing issues, which may affect the food quality. It is recommended to have patience and understanding, as the restaurant tries to accommodate all customers.
The salad bar has been closed, and the menu is smaller, with only one side of the restaurant being used. The Amish-style restaurant still offers delicious chicken fried steak, and their cookies are a must-try. Despite the challenges, the 5/20 Country Kitchen remains a local favorite, providing jobs for the community.
