The fresh hot pretzel was the BEST I've ever had. And believe me, I've tried hot pretzels all over the world. This was the perfect spot to shop around with their collection of teas and trinkets and then relax while enjoying the most amazing pretzel ever.

A friend who had been in Shipshewana before urged me to visit here while I was in tow for a conference. I'm so glad I did! I'm taking away one star because it's a little dated and cluttered feeling, but other than that it's a must. Though I didn't try a pretzel, I believe the other reviewers' raves because they looked amazing. So did some of the other treats available behind the counter, from bakery to ice cream concoctions. But I came for the tea, and I was not disappointed! They have sample jars sitting out with tons of flavors, and I sniffed my way to heaven. I brought home four bags, and every one is absolutely delicious. They are much more robust in flavor than the other teas I have tried from a variety of online and in-person locations. I can't even brew a pot without first inhaling deeply from the bag, because the aroma is so wonderful. Forget the other places - I plan to order all my tea from here now, shipped to my home in California. The owner told us they might retire in a few years. If they do, I beg them to publicize their supplier, so those of us who buy from them can continue finding this fabulous tea.

Best pretzel ever!! As you can see from my numerous postings on YELP, I get around. This is hands down the best pretzel I've ever had. Probably one of the best food items I've had in years. I was not expecting this which is why I was blown away. Not the tradional twisted dark looking pretzel, think Bavarian style, but kind of a like fluffy pillow of heaven. It is buttery, light, and airy inside with incredible flavor and the perfect amount of salt flakes on it. They also make sandwiches on this pretzel as well. Coffee, tea, sandwiches, and other items in this upstairs shop. Super friendly people that came over and talked to us about our travels. LaVern & Ann were just terrific. Thank you. Really, do yourself a favor and get one!

We have a lake house in Shipshewana- so I have tried many versions of hot pretzels. This one is my favorite. It's finished with butter and the softest and chewiest in the center. It's absolutely enormous and easily shareable- so if it's for a kid, split in half. So why only 4 stars for this place? The service is REALLY slow and comparatively unfriendly.....you won't see many smiles cracked by the Amish folks behind the counter, which is a bit unusual from the many I've met. Still- today it's difficult to staff food service jobs, so I tend to just appreciate people who have showed up to work. There is apparently an amazing sandwich made using the pretzel as a bun- if I liked cold cut sandwiches, I'm sure I'd think it's out of this world. There are many dried teas for purchase as well as jellies and jams. There are a few tables, so this is an option if you're looking for a casual lunch spot. They do have a lunch menu as well as pretzels and ice cream. The ice cream didn't look spectacular and it was a bit high priced in comparison to some of the local ice cream stands, so probably grab your ice cream elsewhere. Also- there are almost no GF options. If you need a GF pretzel- go to Jo Jo's in the Davis Mercantile building.

This is such a neat little shop. If you're a tea lover, you have to add this place to your list of shopping experiences. Make sure to order a fresh coffee, tea or cream soda, as they're all delicious. My son tried the lavender cream soda and was blown away with how good it was. We also ordered a cinnamon roll and turkey sandwich ....both were tasty....but the pretzel.....literally, the best we've ever had. (And we've had pretzels from ALL over.) I don't know how he does it....but his recipe and technique are unparalleled. You cannot leave here without trying one. They're so good that I would make the trip to Shipshewana just for one of these.

We arrived in Shipshewana, Indiana purely to visit this tea shop. Before arriving we visited their website to confirm they would be open. When we arrived (driving three hours each way) they had a ripped piece of paper on the door stating they would only be open on Friday and Saturday this week. We stopped in at another store in the little mall it is in and apparently that is what they have been leaving up for months. This was March of 2023 and according to others in the mall they do this all the time. If it was a family emergency it would be understandable. It has been recommended to them multiple times to change their website hours and they refused. We called to explain that we had gone way out of our way and the most they were willing to do was give us a few samples and free shipping. When the teas we had ordered arrived (we ordered 4 4 ounce bags in addition to the samples) two of the four ounce bags (which were the exact same tea) were literally an ounce different in weight. It was so off that when you picked up the two bags you could tell. They were contacted again and we offered pictures of the weights and they said even though they sell their teas in ounces they just use a scoop to measure so too bad. They will never be getting our business again. When you buy "4 ounces" you expect an actual 4 ounce container not a 3 ounce container.

This little gem is fantastic! Great coffee and fresh baked goods. The Pretzel sandwich is 2 meals! and the Pretzels- O M G!! (yummm). Had a maple latte and it was perfect for the fall chill. Ann, who helped us, was so sweet and informative. This cute little shop is right next to Yoder's Meat and Cheese Shop.. great gifts, teas and home brick-a-brac. Thank you Ann and Red Bud!! :)

This is a really cute shop on the top floor of the Red barn Shoppes. Lots of tea, pots, cups, etc. Also puzzles, crafts, kitchen items. In the back, there is a food counter with sandwiches, salads, desserts and pretzels. These are not your typical pretzels. These are huge, buttery, salty, yeasty creations. They are braided, but have risen so high that they resemble yeast dinner rolls. You can make a sandwich out of them. They melt in your mouth. I could never eat a whole pretzel in one sitting, but a short zap in the microwave later in the day made them taste as fresh as when I first got it. These blow all the other pretzel places out of the water. They are that good.

Can't say anything about the teas or coffee, but the pretzel is probably the best I have ever had. I pushed my daily sodium load for a very good reason. Will definitely have another some day.

I’ve been to many tea shops and this one looked a lot better on the website. It was smokey and smelled like burned grease from the pretzels in the back. The tea section was wide but there were only two kinds of tea to sample. The cafe part seemed confused when I wanted to order a speciality tea to drink (because there were no samples of it or offers of samples). The cafe clerk was flat out rude and told me to go ask the clerk in the front of the shop. It was very odd. Then I had to carry the tea bag back to the cafe so they could actually make the tea. Super weird. And expensive for what you actually get. I didn’t want to buy any of the packaged tea at that point. Also, it doesn’t say anywhere that they mix or make the tea themselves. My guess is they are buying bulk loose tea and repackaging it at a mark up. Lots of places do that, it’s not a crime, but it’s also not very special. I would not go back there ever again.

The pretzels! Go early. They sell out!!! I had them for the first time last year and have been dreaming of them since. I'm going back to Shipshewana soon and this will be my first stop in town.... and hopefully.... all three days I'm there! *drooling*

The pretzels were amazing. Definitely the best I've ever had. As well as the tea was really good. We got peach paradise tea and loved it so much we bought some to bring home. The lady working was great and told me all about the different teas and how to recreate the peach paradise at home. Overall I would definitely go back again.

Pretzels unlike any I have tried. Wished I had brought some home.
