Same great pizza I remember from my childhood! The crust is perfect and ingredients are fresh and delicious! The place is like a time capsule it looks exactly the same as it did 50 yrs ago. You order your pizza and pick it up, same with your drinks. No table service here.
This place has an interesting Old tavern feel. You can feel the history in the air when you walk into the place. The pizza we ordered was super solid and delicious. A nice addition to town of South bend, Indiana. Staff was fine, And they were pretty speedy. Overall. It'd be a nice place to have a family function or a large group gathering.
We came to eat dinner, and our wait was over an hour due to a difficulty the staff was having. I was a bit frustrated because we were hungry and hadn't eaten yet today. The staff was extremely nice and offered us a couple things to make up for the long wait and they were personally very nice. Even though it was a longer wait, they handled it well. Just the customer service alone from Spencer and Shawn was great. Good job handling the difficult time your restaurant experienced.
