On our way to Chicago to see Iron Maiden. So I pulled up my Yelp App and looked for something local. We decided on BBQ and found this place. We love to try BBQ in different places all over the US. I don't think we've ever had any really bad BBQ. This was no exception. I wish I could remember what we had, but I can't locate any pics on my phone or 'cloud'.

Great place. The meat is amazing. Juicy not too chewy. And there sauces are awesome. Love there tangy sauce. Perfect. The meat is as good if not better. Only other thing is there coslaw could use some. Taste. It's just bland. Personally.

Love Pitt's, classic south bend spot right across from my alma mater, John Adams. Great for catering large events or for a quick bite. Try the Mac and cheese!!

I ordered the sampler platter which consisted of pulled pork, mini tips, and brisket. Normally you get St Louis style ribs but they were out so I got brisket. That was $16. I also added a side of collard greens for $4 and a side of mac and cheese for $3. The mac and cheese is made with asiago cheese and its really, really good and creamy. The collard greens are cooked with pork, red peppers and onions and is a bit spicy. The ribs are so tender you can literally pull them apart with your lips. The sauce is very delicious and very saucy, there was a lot of sauce on my meat, next time I could probably use less. Everything was absolutely delicious and I will be going back for sure!

My husband and I were in town for his work. He was craving BBQ. We read the Yelp reviews, so we thought we'd give it a shot. OMG!!! Fabulous! It's small inside but seats about 34. My husband has the Sampler for $16.00, bought an extra side of baked beans. I got the St. Louis ribs for $14.00. The owner and the young lady were so nice! It's worth the stop
We were in a mission to have BBQ in South Bend. So yes we found this place through Yelp! As non South Bend resident, we found this place easily but it doesn't have huge choice for parking. We parked on the side road in front of a house but maybe there is public parking near it but we didn't see or found it. We were greeted warmly once we entered the room. We could smell the smoke and they knew we weren't local amd it was our first time so they gave us sample which was very generous of them. They have standard menu, like any other bbq place; ribs, brisket, pull pork. We ordered brisket and sampler plater because of course we wanted to try all and we couldn't decide our mind and coleslaw and green bean for sides. Portion wise it is more than enough for 3 hungry people. Brisket was good. According to my husband who lived in Texas and had quite a bit bbq when he lived there, their serving plater is more like bbq texas/southern style. They put the brisket on white bread. They don't have choices for sauces. They put their sauce straight on the brisket which for me personally don't really like that because it makes the breas soggy and I couldn't taste the brisket alone. The other menu we ordered was sampler plater which are ribs, tips and pulled pork. Again they put their sauce in it. Sauce goes great witj tips and ribs. It gave that saucy sticky sauce but for the pulled pork it was kinda overwhelming. Their coleslaw was ok bit their green beans was good. They put hot pepper in it so it has a lil bit kick.

We got the Sample Platter (Ribs, Rib Tips, and Pulled Pork) and Brisket meal for 3 people. They serve the brisket with bread. You get coleslaw and spicy green beens with your meal. Everything was delicious and large in portion. The owner and his staff were very friendly. They gave all three of us a free sample before choosing our meal.

Terrible BBQ, very dirty location. Not professional at all. Had them at Notre Dame Stadium this summer, we are sooo happy they are not there for the season.

Owner was very nice! Offered a sample while we looked at the menu. Delicious smoky BBQ. Hot and fresh. There was a made to order spicy sauce option. Will definitely be visiting again!
