“Good atmosphere, good food. Nashville Hot Tenders has perfect amount of breading and the sauce was outstanding. Soft pretzel sticks were baked to perfection, wonderful beer cheese and spicy mustard. Service was outstanding! Will definitely make a return trip.“

First, this is NOT an appropriate place for kids, and you'll be asked to leave if you bring them, this is an old style BAR. Adults only.

My burger was delicious and the staff was friendly! Sorry I started eating it first. Greasy and great! Full of beef and gluten.

If you love nostalgia and don't mind the smell of old smoke and a hint of pee, scratched paint and air vents hanging from straps, you'll love this place. It's like going back to the 60s or 70s!

Be sure to enjoy the vintage Popeye sign from the 50's advertising a hamburger for 10¢!

If not you probably should avoid it.

This place leans into letting people self-select to not be here. But in my opinion that just means it has an unapologetic personality.

I am NOT recommending this place for the sub 40 crowd, you probably won't like it and the regular won't feel bad about that. If you don't mind stepping out of your comfort zone in a big way, try it. If not they won't miss you.“

“was in SB for a night and found a great dive bar - McCormicks - cool place for a beer and some pinball - asked the owner where to go for a good burger and he directed me up the road to CJs Pub - said they are the best around! I gave it a shot and was not disappointed. Ordered one of their specialty burgers with Canadian bacon, mushrooms, and cheese. Wow. it was delicious! and huge! Waffle fries were also great and beer was ice cold. If I lived in SB, this would definitely be a regular stop for an awesome burger.“

“I do not understand why they wear exam gloves. They touch everything in the restruant with the same pair on. They handle money, clean handle foor that is in wrapers. My last experience at this location. There was a person running the register. 3 employees standing and visiting behinder her. The customers in front of me took quite a while to order. 2 to 3 more customers came in. After I finally place ld my order and was waiting on it. One of the 3 finally came up to another register to help. I know it is difficult to find young good help. Maybe more supervision would help. My food was only warm. There was almost not Mustard or ketchup on the sandwich. Very dissapointing.“

“My family traveled from Chicago to South Bend this weekend to pick up our service dog for my 5 year-old Autistic son. While the experience was amazing, my son struggled a bit with the trip, as he is very much a person of habit! He woke up Sunday morning asking for a cheeseburger. We scrambled to figure out where we could possibly get a cheeseburger at 8am, and we were excited to see a Burger King near our hotel. We packed up 4 kids and a service dog and headed over. We were quickly and kindly informed that lunch was not served until 11. I told the cashier I had an autistic kiddo in desperate need of a cheeseburger, and asked if she knew anywhere in the area I could get one. Another employee heard my situation and with no hesitation, swooped in said she will make him a cheeseburger. This woman went completely out of her way to help my son. She had a burger cooked and ready to go in minutes. She refused my money as I went to pay for it. When I thanked her profusely, she put her hand over her heart and told me so sincerely, “She understands”. Thank you to this wonderful woman for her kindness and compassion!“

“My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and there was a little mixup with our burgers, one was made incorrectly. I took it up to the counter and the gentleman immediately apologized and quickly got the fresh burger out. When I picked it up he offered a complimentary drink or shake but I ultimately denied it because we had already had some at our table. I wasn't upset, I completely understood and told them it was totally fine and there were no worries. But a few minutes later another gentleman in a black uniform comes to our table to sincerely apologize once again and hands me a gift card for my next visit. I wasn't expecting anything free in return for the small mistake but WOW!!! This service was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Thank you to both of the guys who went above and beyond today, I really appreciated the effort in making sure we were satisfied. We will absolutely be back.“
