The atmosphere was very nice and the food was perfect. The Arancine were the best I've had next to my mothers. Jordan our waiter was amazing and made my wife's Birthday perfect.
To begin. Our server, Autumn, was terrific. She was very efficient and friendly. Was happy to make recommendations. The food was excellent, though pricey. Grilled branzino was delicious and was served with a surprising rice that was mixed with caponata. Would recommend this restaurant.
The food and service were amazing! We felt cared for and special. It did get rather noisy but since our seats were upstairs, it wasn't too bad. We definitely want to go back!
I've always enjoyed my experience the many many times I've dined at this fine restaurant. The service is impeccable, friendly, and elegant. The ambience is defined and understated and the food is exquisitely delicious- the whole experience is top-tier.
I liked the menu and food was excellent. The food was every bit as good as restaurant on the river but there is no great view.
Do not miss this place if you are in South Bend! Creative and delicious food, terrific personal service, nice atmosphere and decor, huge wine selection.
This was our first time here. I picked this place based on the fact that it was within walking distance to our hotel and to our venue at the Morris Performing Arts Center and also because it got great Yelp reviews. Upon check in the front desk person asked us what brought us into the area. When I told him we were in for a show and I got reservations at Cafe Navarre he said that was an excellent choice. We stated with the smoke salmon, a very tasty and light spread served with warm goat bread and was an excellent start to the dinner. My wife and I split the lamb, which was more than enough for us with the app and wanting desert. It was cooked perfect, pink I. The middle and oh so tender. We finished dinner with the Crème Brûlée and expresso gelato with a cup of Cappuccino. All so very good. Do not hesitate to eat at this place, you won't be disappointed. Heather was out server, she was prompt and polite, with check ins on how things were progressing without being overbearing or pushy.
Cafe Navarre is an excellent upscale dining option. Awesome setting, great food and drink including extensive wine list. And service is top notch. We truly enjoyed an early, midweek dinner. And will return.
We had Muchroom soup, Cesar salad, Branzino, Lamb, Artichoke and Gelato. From beginning to end the food was inventive, delicious, and artfully presented. We had a booth by the window; there are high tops up front by the ba rand outside sidewalk seating. Service and ambience were superb. We came at 4:30 on a weekday so it was quiet and we found street parking in front. We will be back when we want fine dining.
Soup was a little cold, burnt green beans Steak was cooked perfectly. Server was fabulous. Disappointed in the food this time & the long wait. We were there for almost an hour before we got our food. We had to then hurry to eat to make our event time.

A friend and I met up for dinner. It was a delicious meal and our server, Autumn was fantastic!
I had Christian tonight and he was attentive and made great recommendations on their menu. The banana desert was amazing!!!
We visited for Easter brunch, and made reservations for the occasion. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic, and they may want to limit the number of people in years to come. The wait time and the noise level were definitely affected. It may be better to have a sparser restaurant, with a calm and peaceful environment for the holiday. The wait person, Sara, was a real hero: pleasant and attentive, like she had all the time in the world in our little corner. Good food, also—as always.
We were seated half hour later then our assigned reservation. We then waited 10 minutes for a server to greet us after being seated and then an additional 15 minutes after that for waters for the table....The biscuits and gravy I ordered were stale and the sausage I added was uncooked — I couldn't eat half the meal. We usually have a tremendous experience at Cafe Navarre but this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had so not sure if we'll ever come back. We told the manager about the experience after, and was offered a $150 gift card , when our bill was nearly $300! Can't make this stuff up.....
We ate Easter brunch. Our waitress, Autumn, was very nice and attentive. The food was very good. However, we waited over an hour after we ordered for our entrees to arrive. We were never given bread. Managers were floating around and never acknowledged how long food was taking to come out of the kitchen.
