I was supposed to go to an ND home game but hurt my leg so I went with friends but did not go to the game (because I couldn't walk far). Watched the game here at CJ's. They have Peacock which is where the game was broadcast. I had a bacon cheese burger that comes with chips ($17), and a basket of fries (because I asked for fries) and two draft (small) miller lite beers. My tab was $35 (?). The burger was very good and honestly you could share it because it's probably more than a half pound burger. The fries were excellent and I got a basket but it was too much for me by myself. The lady who was behind the bar was friendly but not super attentive. Had to flag her down for more sauce. There were about 9 people in the whole bar during game day so not great atmosphere. If you want a quiet place to go during the game where you can't see what down it is or how much time is left (the refrigerators hide the bottoms of the TV) - this is your place.

My burger was amazing. Fresh, juicy and BIG. Waffle fries were crisp. Believe Beef Tallow fried. Service was ok. I can imagine this place is packed at night and game days. Will be back to try something else.

I went in, sat down and waited 10 or 15 minutes. Not only was I not waited on, but I wasn’t even acknowledged. I finally gave up and left. Evidently they didn’t want my money.

was in SB for a night and found a great dive bar - McCormicks - cool place for a beer and some pinball - asked the owner where to go for a good burger and he directed me up the road to CJs Pub - said they are the best around! I gave it a shot and was not disappointed. Ordered one of their specialty burgers with Canadian bacon, mushrooms, and cheese. Wow. it was delicious! and huge! Waffle fries were also great and beer was ice cold. If I lived in SB, this would definitely be a regular stop for an awesome burger.

We were traveling from out of town and looking for a place to get burgers. Stopped here on a whim and had the best time. Burgers were fantastic, and the street fries are to die for. Great daily specials on drinks and solid service. We will be returning on our next trip into town.

Great spot downtown South Bend. Had to travel here for work and found this gem. Mon-Tues hours are different from the rest of the week so get there for lunch. Patty Melt burger was perfect. Beers are slightly expensive at $5.25 for 20 oz. GREAT

I visited the bar at 8pm, on a Thursday night, wanted to run a tab. First bartender tells me it's shift change, okay transfer it over? Then told me a bunch of college kids pack the place and I might not want to b here? I chuckled and that's fine. The second bartender passed me twice, before he refilled my drink and then said you running
a tab? Yes, he said well college kids come here about an hour and half. So what!!?? I can't drink here? Proceeded to tell me he can cash me out evrytime instead of running a tab?? What is that??!!

I have heard such great reviews about CJ’S Pub in SouthBend Indiana l just had to try this place on a football weekend to see the Notre Dame Fighting Irish everything that said about this place is true our server Kelly was friendly & she kept coming back to make sure we we were looked after great job Kelly so everything you have ever heard about CJ’S is true the food was fantastic their service was great l would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a great place to eat
The salads are a must try. Not kidding. They are better than the burgers!
