What a fantastic place! Fatbird’s fried chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s crispy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The sides, especially the mashed potatoes, were perfect. The vibe is fun and laid-back, and the staff was welcoming. Highly recommend!

Honestly the atmosphere was pleasant and staff seemed ok. The food wasn’t quite to our taste, though it was nicely presented. We just felt there was way to much breading on both our catfish and our chicken sandwich. The other issue was my soup wasn't warmed up all the way. That showed me it was warmed up in a microwave instead of served fresh. Overall, an average experience, but one that others may enjoy.

One of the best places to eat in town! My favorite is the Cuban. I’ve never had anything so delicious. The peach faced love bird is my favorite drink, it’s so pretty too. Service is impeccable

Good wak ok not a whole lot of seasoning on the fried chicken or the chicken sandwich for being a place that has a bunch of southern dishes on there menu

Fatbird is a hidden gem in the city. I came for the fried chicken, and it definitely lived up to the hype. What surprised me most was how the flavors stayed juicy inside while being crisp on the outside. The staff was friendly, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Will be back!

3rd or 4th time coming, food is extremely good! Drinks are a bit interesting but love the vibe. Unique experience unlike any other in South Bend.
Hush puppies are best in a bowl with the sauce and Cole slaw on top - just a note for the chef 👨🍳
Great spot to sit and try random new things!

Nice spot, I'm the Old Downtown of South Bend, near Notre Dame grounds.
Red Beans and Rice was great!

Get the paddock sandwich paired with a Miller highlife. The spices in the sandwich really bring out the flavor in the beer. Tonight was slow though, only 4 or 5 people in the whole place. Happy hour is 7 to 9 pm

I went here for an early dinner with my dad and we loved it. He got a Miller High Life and I got the Mint Revenant Martini, both of which were delicious. Then we ordered dinner: the chicken and waffles, and the fried chicken. Let me tell you, the place lives up to its name. They know how to fry a bird. The sides (collared greens, a buttermilk biscuit, and waffle fries) were all delightful, but the chicken was the star. I only wish I had thought to take another picture before devouring it! Absolutely worth the price, but be prepared to indulge. Worth trekking through the snow for!

Fantastic food and drink. The fried haddok is superb and rum punch is just the right tartness.
One of two restaurants I've been to that doesn't over or under steep their iced tea.

Great stop! I come in every time I’m in the area! This is a great comfortable spot! I have yet to have a bad meal and the Bar Manager and bartender on Wednesdays have been great every time I come in. 😊
