Despite my unwillingness to admit that anything good can come from Indiana (hah!), I did in fact really enjoy my experience here! The food was good and the atmosphere was fantastic. It felt like stepping into a traditional Irish pub —something I've never experienced so authentically anywhere outside of Ireland. Loved the shared tables (an opportunity to make friends), and the live band (the music was great).

Sophie was our server for our bigger group. She was really nice when we arrived close to closing. She was accommodating and kind taking our orders. She helped me pick a cocktail and the bartender made our drinks well. A great evening!

Fiddlers Hearth is a wonderful local pub and do happy they are back open for lunch again. They are always busy, so be prepared for a wait and PLEASE if there is a wait, sign in on the clipboard provided. The waitstaff are kind and attentive bur seriously working very work to clear tables and get people seated. The entry way is a but snug.
My favorite is the scotch eggs with mustard and soft boiled egg making the yolk slightly runny. You can never go wrong with the Sheperds Pie, though while the fish and chips was delicious the breading easily came right off.
The only confusing thing was the flourless chocolate cake. Overall it was delicious with the different syrups and berries. However, it is served on a slate plate with no edges with the syrups dripping off the sides and the scrapping of the spoon on the slate was a bit rough audibly.

I was highly disappointed in this place. I struggle to give it a 2 star. It really should be 1. It gets a 2 star because we had a sweet waitress. I came from Texas to visit family and wanted to treat them to a nice dinner and I love fish and chips, beer battered fish and chips, but when it came out it was so soggy it wasn't crunchy at all and it fell apart. The main reason to order beer battered fish is that crunch. I was really looking forward to that authentic crunch and was not satisfied at all. They were very quick to remedy it by by bringing me more on the fly, which was nice but only 1 was crunchy the other 2 were soggy. The chips were a disappointment as well all around. Cold and hard and not satisfying. We also had one young server who was a bit rude. Needless to say for the amount I paid it was so not worth it. I will not be going back to eat again. Maybe to drink but definitely not to eat. It was really busy but that's no excuse for subpar food. Maybe if it weren't as busy and the food came out right away it would have been crunchy.

The fish and chips here was the best I've ever had. We got the Irish Poutine for starters, and for dessert I got the white chocolate bread pudding which was incredible, and my mom got the dark chocolate truffle cake. Advice: Get the truffle cake,

Busy place. It is super popular with locals and visitors alike. Our first visit & locals recommended fish & chips. They were good. Fish lightly battered. Loud fun place. It's shared tables. Nice way to meet others. Service wasn't outstanding, but they were packed.

Parking: Could only find pay parking lot

The food and service are amazing! We were lucky enough to get a table after the ND game and caught the live music, it was a highlight of our trip to South Bend for sure. Stop in and see Kegan, he was an amazing server.
