An awesome laid-back, old-school hangout. Love the old neon sign out front. The owner had been generous to light it up for me when he noticed me out front taking photos. Not a lot of these joints left in South Bend. The Green Star Cafe and it's sign are real gems.?
We had a fabulous dinner at Green Star Cafe tonight! Our server Roy was fantastic and so was our food!! We had the elote, the butcher's wedge salad, the pork belly special, a fish special and the pear ravioli. Everything was delicious, fish special was ok. Don't forget the cake in a can for dessert! We Will be back again for sure!
Fantastic neighborhood bar. Friendly owners and a nice quiet place for a drink. No Frills, just an old time neighborhood tavern. The kind you really can't find any more unless you dig.
