Mariah at the bar is literally the best in South Bend! Such an amazing atmosphere and she runs it flawlessly. Bouncing between the tables she has as well as us at the bar, never having to catch her attention she is on it and knows what everyone needs! Great personality and fantastic people skills I couldn't imagine anyone having a bad time. Fantastic experience and will be back many more times to come!!

As soon as I came in I felt welcomed by the bartender named Mariah , i Could tell she was very hard working and cared about the customer experience, very nice and attentive. I thought she was the manager . Definitely would rate this place and her 20 stars if I could .

The restaurant is located directly on Howard Park with a wonderful view of the city and the river. It's really great here.The service is world class, everything is brought to you super quickly and everything is responded to in a very friendly manner. Keep it up!The food is terrific. I love the way the burgers are made.

Update:: 04/9/24-I spoke with the manager the next day. She did apologize and offered to make it right.Very disappointed in tonight's dinner. My husband normally order burgers from here. We'll tonight I decided I wanted the bone in 14oz ribeye mash potatoes and ( i asked for broccoli) for $40 plus a ceaser side salad. I received a bone in ribeye with 7ozs of fat and gristle . My mash potatoes was cold and whole. Yes! Whole potatoes they couldn't even mash my potatoes. They gave me asparagus even through I asked for broccoli. I asked for a ceaser salad and got a house salad with ranch.Then to top it off they put my food on cheap aluminum foil so as I was eating I noticed little peices of aluminum foil in my food that I had to keep picking out. I tried to call and complain but of course no answer.My receipt matches what I order but not the food I received.This was a carry out order.4//5/24

Atmosphere A. Zero porters or stouts either bottles or on tap, down to A-. Service not bad but both bartenders cpuld smile and be less zombie like B+. Burger was great until O bit into a disgusting pickle! Final grade C+.

Perfect restaurant/bar for this area, exactly what was needed.Food was great with a very generous portion. Drinks are made with fresh fruit and came out picture perfect. Will be happy to come back and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

The GM Kristin or something took it as a personal attack when I told her our kids burgers were burnt and inedible and she originally only took $2 off each meal when the main course of it was charcoal. I told her I would be happy to pay for just the fries and everything else we were getting. We also waited 45 minutes for the charcoal so I wanted to leave since our 2 and 3 year old were done with sitting. We've been many times and will not be back because of her snide "we just want our bill taken care of comments" she literally was unhinged at the end. I wasn't rude because I'm in the industry and I was with my son.. so for the GM to be rude and arrogant to me in-front of our kids and my friend whose first time visiting we will NOT be back. UGLY service behavior. As someone who has been cussed at, yelled at, misunderstood as a server I can't believe today I caught attitude from a manager while the SERVER apologized to us for HER MANAGEMENTS behavior. Shame.. it's about to be their busy season and they have such a piss poor General Manager.

This place is tried and true! Today was our 3rd time and the food at Public House is always amazing! Highly recommend the shrimp appetizer, goat cheese fondue, cheese curds, wings… they are ALL addicting. Shout out to our awesome server Kelly, he was very knowledgeable and made our experience so much fun.
Had an amazing time there. It was my first but will not be my last. The park outside and skating…. Wow! Service was top notch, I only gave it four stars for atmosphere, could be bigger .
