Fish and chips: fries were undercooked in old grease and the fish was extremely dry.Batter for gizzards: too salty and overcookedHushpuppies: if the grease wasn't old, they would have been greatCondiments: all pre-packaged and zero taste.Packaging: coleslaw and hot sauce exploded/spilled all in the bottom of the bag and leaked onto my car interior. Needs to be wrapped or put into an extra box or bag.Guy taking the order: very friendly and full of smiles!!
I'm a fan of every J & J I've visited. They have a favorite of mine my entire life. Smelt. Also picked up whole wings and catfish filets for later. Im a truck driver. So I grab a few orders for days ahead. The smelt didn't make it out of Mishawaka, however. Ate them while driving. Perfectly cooked, in my opinion, as usually the case with all orders I've picked up. Small place. But most people tend to call ahead or order to go.
