On 12/05/2025 I stopped in to check out their famous cookies only to see nobody in the front of the store but everyone in the back doing who knows what. After say somewhat of a hello from the back, nobody came in the front to approach me if I need help. After I called out that I was ready to purchase my items. The one gal from the back approach the register to cash me out only to seem to have a very hostile tone in her voice talking to me. Don't know if pee on her parade by mistake or she wasn't having a good day. Didn't stick around after that. Went to the business next door only to be told that they are not very nice people towards other types of people. Plus informed by this business next door that they recently fired a soon-to-be mother because she was pregnant and was having complications in her pregnancy. If I only knew that I would never shop there because any business should not be firing a mother to be if she was having complications in their pregnancy. But the attitude when she approached me at the register when I was just a customer buying cookies from their shops and she approached me with that attitude tells me a whole lot about that type of business that I would not be shopping there again.

I bought some cherry bread and some cookies from the crown point farmers market. While I thought the cookies were okay (the rest of my family loved them—I just prefer a fluffier cookie) —the cherry bread was great! Only wish there were chunks of cherries throughout it but it’s a solid loaf.
Will definitely purchase again!
The lady was also super helpful and kind during my transaction (even with my kids trying to squeak every duck they could find).

We visited Kris's Kountry Kitchen this weekend at the blueberry festival. I purchased a load of blueberry bread that was good. I also purchased a package of Snickerdoodle cookies. When I got home I ate one and it was the hardest cookie I've ever bitten into. I tried the other cookies and they were hard and broke into pieces as well. Very disappointed for $8 a package.

Seeing a small, family-owned business perpetuating racism so proudly and publicly is truly heartbreaking. I approached them yesterday, asking what the history behind their KKK namesake was. I was given a flimsy, lazily constructed excuse that "30 years ago everything was spelled with a K." Now while I cannot attest to this bizarre claim, I can say with certainty that it is within their power to undergo a rebranding, something as minor as changing "Kountry" back to its ORIGINAL spelling to avoid any correlation with the cowardly and pathetic hate group the KKK.
Kris's Kountry Kitchen is a local gem! Delicious desserts & cookies of all kinds. They also have sugar alternative offerings for people with diabetic issues or for Keto Low/No sugar lifestyles! Some days it's possible to get half-price or boxes of cookies for as little as $1.00! This is my new favorite place to load up on cookies for meetings, events & other gatherings. Easy to find and plenty of street parking. Take the time to check it out, you won't be disappointed!
