Absolutely one of the finest dining experience we've had in a long time. Waitress was excellent, food was exceptional, can't wait to go back. Ambiance was so nice and relaxing. If I could give it more stars I would.

My wife and I were out of town this week and celebrating 22nd wedding anniversary. On the spur of the moment we decided to walk a couple of blocks from our hotel to what looked to be one of the nicer establishments that South Bend had to offer. They got us right in and seated. The food was really fantastic, and the service was great as well. Our waitress Bradley was very attentive and friendly and helpful. This was probably one of the best seasoned steaks I've had in a very very long time. My wife and I enjoyed a waitress selected glass of wine with dinner. That was fantastic and tasty as well.Just a very good experience overall. ??

We dine at LaSalle fairly frequently and absolutely love the place. Casey is without question the best GM in the area, he and Jen make us feel special every time we come in. We just love this place and highly recommend if you’re looking for a great dinner and dessert. For dessert, if you don’t get the bread pudding, you’re absolutely missing out…

LaSalle Grill is our favorite restaurant in South Bend and the place we always go to on special occasions. They don't bat !00% on everything, but the overall experience is usually quite good.

I have never tried this restaurant before. My husband and I were highly impressed with the staff, but specifically our waiter, TC. I've never gone anywhere where someone went above and beyond as much as he did for us! My husband got some sauce on his dress shirt from the duck entree, and TC provided ways to help him remove the stain. He provided soda and a cloth to try to rub the stain out. When it proved insufficient, he offered a Tide pen to get the excess stain out. Then our waiter turned up the heat after noticing I was cold. He was really attentive and offered prompt service. When I asked if I could get some to-go boxes, he took the plates and put them in boxes for me. After that, he carefully put the boxes in a bag and asked if I would rather have it on the table or on the floor next to me. I'm so happy and satisfied with my first experience at this restaurant! Also, their white cheddar mac and cheese is to die for!

We haven't been to LaSalle Grill in a few years. We were looking forward to a nice dinner out. Well, not sure what will bring us back. Starters were foie gras (very small portion) and baked Brie wrapped in dough. The foie was good as was the Brie. Next up was a very underdressed caeser salad and a lobster bisque. There was zero lobster meat visible in the bisque. I say visible as it must have been liquified or something. Disappointed with those. Next up was the porterhouse pork chop and seared scallops. The scallops were done perfectly. The pork was a bit over but thankfully not dry. It was however drowned in a pancetta bolognese that overpowered the chop and Gruyère potato side. Ended with molten chocolate cake and a bourbon maple syrup bread pudding. The desert was the best part of the meal. I'll add that with paying for each soft drink (no refills apparently) was a bit tacky. I did not expect that from a fine dining restaurant.

4 stars is generous. 3.5 is more accurate. Salads were below average. Minimal amount of beets in “beet salad”, wedge salad was small and unimpressive. Steak, cod and Mac and cheese were good. Cocktails were excellent. Service was spotty, but it was extremely busy. We will likely give it another shot.

The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. The manager was a sommelier and helped us select a bottle of wine. They took my coat and hung it up for me upon arrival. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend eating here. The bourbon bread pudding was spectacular with the LaSalle Alexander. Perfection.

I’m gonna note right away that I ate upstairs but ordered from the Grill menu so I’ll stick to the food alone.Steak was cooked very well. Only hiccup was that I asked for just pepper and salt and was greeted with a massive pile of grease fried onions on top of it. A distraction from how well the steak was done in the first place. Vegetables were great.

I ordered filet minion with medium rare however it was well-done. Because I was with the customers, I did not request change it. All other 3 people's stake were very good cooking level and only mine was terrible. I like this restaurant and have used many times but this is only the day I was so disappointment.

Not very good. First, Ordered a dirty martini and asked for bleu cheese olives, they gave me regular green olives with a pimento inside and then topped a minuscule amount of Blue cheese on top of the pimento. That's not a real blue cheese stuffed olive, so that was disappointing for a “fine dining” establishment. I also felt it was too bright in the dining room. They didn't have dim lighting, it felt like a museum in there. Then we ordered an appetizer, the pork belly flatbread, and it was awful. Dry, no flavor, three tiny bite sized pieces of pork belly on the entire thing and it was dry. Also underseasoned. We got the wedge salad next and that was ok. The kitchen split the salad in the back which I appreciated. Then our entrees took over 45 minutes to come out after our salads. Got our entrees and they were cold. Literally my vegetables had a chill to them. Disappointing. And everything needed some salt. Finished our meals with an espresso, which was good. I guess I don't understand the hype of this place. It's not very good and it's expensive. Wouldn't recommend. Lots of other great restaurants in the area where you'll get great flavor, hot food and better ambiance.
