I like this place. Nice location downtown. Good tikka marsala, and paneer pakora.

The food was awesome! We got shrimp shahi korma, naan, veggie samosas, and lamb biryani. Everything was great!

Lights of India is an awesome, local restaurant that's perfect for trying new foods that taste great! Everybody that works there is very friendly & they strive to make your dining experience one that's very pleasant & memorable!

We went to the Lights of India this past Saturday night for the very first time. Our family was very pleased with the excellent authentic food, great service, and the extremely friendly staff. We tried & shared a variety of items on the menu, and everything was very tasty (my kids are very picky eaters, and they both loved the food). We're definitely going back to try their buffet.

We (7 of us) were served by a very nice woman, however that is the only positive I can offer. The food was far below acceptable for Indian food. Samosas came out cold, some entrées lukewarm. Salt shaker was grimy and the salt was solid inside (table glass was also kinda grimy). I had the lamb curry and it was rather bland especially for medium spice, even after they re-made it to not be lukewarm. Granted this is New Year's Day, but if this is the effort they'll put in for NYD then stay closed and don't hurt your business?!

Food is delicious. This is the first time I had their lunch buffet. I have enjoyed take it several times.

I have never left a review for a restaurant before but I felt this to be my duty as I believe I need to do my part to make sure no one will have to have this devistating experience.

Food is decent - nothing grand. Nothing horrible.

I took a guest from out of town here, and he wanted to go back again later. The menu is so big, and yet they do everything on there so well. Don't miss the variety plates to try it all for just about $15.

The staff was rude and the buffet had food that had been sitting too long so we ordered from menu and waited over an hour and we left. There was no one else in the restaurant so we didn't understand what was taking so long.

Great vegan optionsto try. The food hit the stop multiple days while on my trip for work. The service is very attentive and friendly. Try the mango juice with your meal, it is simple and very refreshing just as the menu description lists. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, Lights of Indian in Downtown South Bend is a great restaurant to try a couple times.

After recently eating at Hyderabad House in Indianapolis we tried here. The staff is pleasant and the food was well prepared. I was disappointed there was no mango lassi but rather a mango shake- not the same.

By far best indian food in town and great ambience. The staff is very friendly as well! I can definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone :)
