My spouse and I have been actively trying to find the best pizza for five years, we think we found it with Macri's pizza. Genuinely the most wholesome and enjoyable eat-in experience I've had in a long time. Not to even mention the immaculate flavors of the pizza. The pie was wonderful, sweet and savory, crunchy and soft exactly where pizza needs to be. Cassie was the best waitress that my spouse and I have had since going on our honeymoon last year. Whatever y'all are paying Cassie, she works like she makes twice that much. Thank you Macri's, and thank you Cassie for a great experience. We will be returning regularly.

Today I was in this place for dinner.

The place is very nice and the atmosphere is good. However, the food disappointed me, I ordered fried ravioli, Italian wedding soup, bruschetta, chicken Parmesan, and French dip sandwich. The pasta was tasteless, the chicken tasted blend, the sandwich tasted like freezer burnt and salty. The ravioli were also tasteless and with just a little filling, not to mention that the garlic bread returned because it was raw and I could feel the flavor of the dough. The rest was just fine.

The restaurant is in a small retail block at the corner of W. Ireland Rd. & S. Lafayette St.. The Seat Yourself sign was posted just inside the entry door, and the only table available on that Friday evening was at the end of a longer table (which was later separated to accommodate a family-of-4). My wife & I waited approx. 5 minutes before one of the very busy waitstaff (Zach B.) brought us menus & took our drink orders.

The weekend dinner crowd appeared to overwhelm both the waitstaff & the kitchen, so our entrees were also delayed significantly. But once our side salads & then entrees arrived (Fetuccini Alfredo & Mama Macri's Stuffed Shells) we were very satisfied with the freshness & flavors & portions. Overall service was hectic but friendly. We would definitely return to Macri's on a future visit to South Bend.

The Italian Beef was lacking favor. The carbonara was a complete disappointment. I purchased the food for work. I work nights. I got to my job parking lot, for a seek peak. And the look was very unappealing, but I figured it could still have flavor. NOPE just sad🙅‍♂️ 🙅‍♀️. The server who took my order over the phone and checked me out was a joy, polite, honest.
The plastic wrapped cutlery fall on the floor instead of placing it in my bag. She got me a another one instead. I have seen so many servers pick up the cutlery and place in the bag. She was Awesome

I've online order from here in the past if the food turned out okay. However, today may of been my last order. I ordered a half and half pizza (half mushroom half sausage). When I picked it up I briefly looked it over and at the time of pick up it looked right. However, I was wrong the kitcken staff instead made a complete mushroom pizza with once slice being sausage. At time of pickup I thought I seen a half and half. But, I was wrong this isn't the only time they have done me wrong. This might be the last time I order from them.

Be aware. My family and I dined there Sunday afternoon. I had the lasagna, my wife had the ravioli, and my son had the pizza bread. We all became ill. I became very ill with vomit and diarrhea. Been sick for three days straight. Been there several times, but this time they had used some bad ingredients.
Think the marinara sauce was bad. Heard staff say they were out to one another. Maybe they knew it was bad and hoped no one would notice. Definitely won't dine there again.
