My sister's family was in town from Michigan and requested going to Nicks Patio. We used to go there years ago.So we expected a wait... because we were there on a Sunday around 11:00a.m.Indeed we had to wait around 35 minutes for a table of 7.Waiting wasn't a problem, it's the chaos of finding somewhere to sit/stand while we waited.They take your first name and tell you they'll call out your name when your table is ready.So the only place to sit/stand while you wait to hear your name, is the hallway heading to the bathroom. So the customers that have to go to the bathroom, have to squeeze past all of us that are waiting.I don't understand why they can't just take your phone number and send a text when a table is ready for you. That way, you can go sit in your vehicle or go outside!The restaurant itself looks exactly like it did years ago but now it just looks run down and in desperate need of fixing and remodeling. Especially the ceiling!!! It looks as if the ceiling could come crashing down at any time.My husband said the men's bathroom was gross, after hearing that, I wasnt about to check out the women's.Our waitress was friendly but spoke way too quiet for the extremely loud restaurant full of people.Our food came out at different times. My granddaughter ordered over easy eggs with bacon. She got scrambled eggs with bacon and potatoes. The waitress took it back and brought the right order fairly fast.I ordered the Texas skillet and it was plenty huge and was very tasty!!Others ordered the Greek skillet, waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, and everyone loved their food.All in all, I'd eat at Nick's Patio again but never when it's busy. It's just too chaotic.

I had the most wonderful experience at Nick's Patio. When I was seated, I was seated by a young man so very pleasant!The waitress service was the best experience in a very long time.I decided to have biscuits and gravy. This meal was truly homemade by hand. I love the gravy. Truly satisfying. Today is a special day. Monday, Totality - Eclipse. I'm so very glad Kristen Karsten was here. Perfect choice for a perfect meal and divine day.Thank you Nick's Patio.
