We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. Upon walking in they were very busy we had two for breakfast and were told that it would be about 25minutes. We were sitting right by the hostess podium. It was then about 10minutes later someone walked in, said as if he knew the hostess said “hello I only have two today, how fast can you get me seated” he was told 15minutes. We then witnessed the owner come up and said I can seat him now and then looked at the list and asked wait what about them, pointing to our name. The hostess then replied oh he did not arrive long after them. Then the two young men got seated before us.
We were very discouraged and disappointed after witnessing that and having it happen right in front of us. Regular or not to treat a paying customer like that was rude and unprofessional. If you are not going to seat customers in order as they came then you should make that known prior to having someone sit there expecting to be seated soon and watch someone without a reservation get seated before us when then clearly came in and arrived after us.

I got the gluten free french toast and I was impressed! I made a reservation ahead of time and did not have to wait upon arrival, however they did have coffee and water available for people who were waiting (so nice!). They also have a pretty cool juice menu.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Had a great experience and even better food. Kahlua and coffee with biscuits and homemade gravy really hit the spot. Highly recommend if you are in South Bend to stop in and try anything on the menu. Will be back to try more of their delicious cooking.

Busy place for breakfast but worth the wait. We waited about 45 minutes. They provided free water & coffee while you waited. We had eggs Benedict and fruit * very good. Also enjoyed mimosas and Irish coffee.

First time trying chicken and waffles. Waitress said it was too sweet for her taste buds but I tried it anyways. It wasn’t bad. It really was a bit too sweet so maybe they could use less sugar on waffles and more savory/spice on chicken breast.
The pricing is about $12-$20 with alcoholic drinks included maybe a little more. My best friend absolutely loves their spicy bloody Mary’s. She literally asked for the recipe it was so good.
The coffee was the best coffee I’ve ever had. I’m more of a green tea drinker if that matters. The coffee was nutty and Irish. Can’t remember the exact name.
The staff is friendly and we only waited about 10 minutes for our food.
The only issue might be parking because it’s downtown but if you’re looking for great customer service at a locally owned brunch place, I’d recommend!

I have eaten here twice. The biscuits and gravy are salty and bland. The Black and Blue salad was awful. The meat was in slices not even cut up. I ordered a side of ranch (store bought) very gross. The food is overpriced and small portions. Seems more like a place people go to for social settings rather than good quality food.

We just had our first experience at Peggy’s. Our server, Erin was fantastic. My wife is gluten-free and can only eat certain items. Erin took the time to go over the menu with us and make suggestions. She was very attentive and she made sure that our food was done exactly to order. Also, her table side manner is awesome. We highly recommend this location and if you can ask for Erin, please do.
