The food is always amazing here, the service is amazing. They always make me feel comfortable with smiles and greeting me when I come in. It's never awkward or tension. They seem really sweet. I get the chicken taco plate Mexican style with beans and rice. They have amazing salsa. I can't wait to try the margaritas after I deliver my baby lol.

I went to Plaza Azteca for the first time last Friday (11/10/23)My 1 star review is not based off the food but the serviceOnce our food arrived, I started to eatI grabbed a scoop of green salsa I had on the side and put that in my mouth with my food.I instantly felt something weird so I pulled it out and I was shocked at what looked to be a sliver of metal or somethingI showed it to our waitress and she said she would let them know and got me a new salsa. After that, nothing else was said to me nor did a manager come over to speak with me about the situation which is why I am leaving this review. I’m typically very friendly and not confrontational but I definitely wish I would’ve spoke up more about it because I feel like I was just disregarded.

The Chorizo in the burrito we ordered was not cooked and the beef burrito we order was over cooked. We use to enjoy this restaurant but will not return again.

We went when it was dead. And the food was fresh and super hot. They have large portions and decent prices. The food was amazing! They have a 4% discount if you use cash!!

Mexican cuisine is our favorite. When we travel we do our research and look for good Mexican restaurants to try. We had this restaurant picked out because of its proximity to our hotel accommodations. 7pm on a foggy, rainy Sunday night and the place looked closed. Not a single car in the parking lot, although the neon sign in the window said “Open”. We were very pleased to find the front door was unlocked, and yes they were open although we didn’t see any other diners inside. Excellent friendly service. Delicious, fresh chips and salsa. Lots of items from which to choose, all reasonably priced. I chose a California burrito loaded with carne, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, cheese etc. My fiancé chose a combination dinner which was too much for her to finish. Both meals served with rice and beans. Our meals were delicious! We were very satisfied. We were very pleased to see other diners come in while we were there. There is a very large dining room, which should be packed judging by the quality of their food and the size of the portions. Thank you for a wonderful meal. If you live in South Bend or visit the area and like Mexican food, give Plaza Azteca a try!

I haven't been to a real good Mexican restaurant since I was a kid in San Antonio Texas. Azteca is the best one in michiana, that I've been to. Best salsa and chips, best enchiladas. I'll definitely be going again and again. Go hungry you won't regret it.

The food is good but they always end up messing up our order and giving us the wrong stuff and we always end up having to come back and it's just gotten old we've been there like six different times since it's opened and every time they've messed up our order.

Food was a fair price. Serving size was ok. Food is seasoned and has flavor. Micheladas are decent but you can taste a hint of V8 in the mix. Ambient was ok. Service was decent.

Stop over on the way to Chicago from East Coast. Food was surprisingly good and margarita not bad even though waitress made a mistake with both. (Ordered Strawberry margarita, think I got mango? and steak quesadilla, got chicken). Apparently a new restaurant so growing pains expected. If I find myself in the area again, I'd go back.

The place definitely could get much better so thia is how it can start...As with many places anymore it was over priced. The music was coming for the kitchen radio which was very odd and that definitely needs updated.Food was not good that I got. I got Fajitas and the pan it came on smelled like it had soap on it and food tasted l Iike it too. Chips were stale, Queso Dip was so runny and just nasty (No flavor unfortunately) However our server was absolutely amazing, and she was sweet which is why I gave it stars. To her ... Your a rock star girl keep up the great work.
