The Matt guy everyone talked about on these reviews was spot on. My wife requested him make the right drink for her, and after only a couple questions, he put the perfect drink in front of her. Very low key, almost miss it if you aren't looking. Some music and some regulars, but very calm and quiet overall. Perfect for those trying to avoid the louder places.

This place has it all. Ambiance, great drinks, fantastic staff. Wife didn’t know what she was in the mood for, and Matt crushed it with a nice zesty lemon drink for her and a PBR/shot for me. Highly recommend this place if anyone’s passing thru or living here.

Headed here after class with a few friends and it was just what we needed: chill vibes, good drinks, and great service. A nice place for when you want to go out but not really. It would work for date night or group outings, as they have little "living room" style seating set up. Will definitely be back!

Everything about this place screams high-end, while still being affordable. Didn't get a chance to try the food, but the service is very friendly and professional, and the ambience is dark and peaceful. We loved it, definitely recommend.

Would never have thought we’d find a high end cocktail bar with a speakeasy vibe in south bend.Matt is an incredible bartender and passionate about his establishment. Entire menu is his creation. I’ve drank a lot of bourbon and whiskey in my life - and across this country - and this is right up there with the best of them.Thanks Matt for a great experience for my dad and I. Everyone needs to fill this bar and experience his creations!

Spirited is very unique to the South Bend area(I live here). It bravely opened at the start of the Covid era and was on my list to try. It was an early Friday evening and we were in need of an after dinner cocktail. We conveniently parked and upon approach of the establishment were met by an amicable gentleman in black. Turns out it was Matt, the proprietor. First impressions were 'cozy', 'speakeasy', 'tastefully mysterious' and a place we would be comfortable in. In general I'm a Martini and Bourbon guy, my wife a craft cocktail gal. The menu revealed a master mixologists portfolio of high end libations to which my wife suggested we were be returning until she'd tried them all.This place is really cool and cozy and Matt is fantastic mixologist and host who really has a gem here for great libations you can conversate over.
