Steak & Chicken City Market Bendix

I ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp. I also got a piece of strawberry cheesecake. I started with what I thought was a heavily battered shrimp, based on shape and size. It was a little knob of chicken. It was dry and difficult to chew. I then removed the chicken pieces from the box and saw the shrimp. They looked like they would be good. I ate one and it was flavorless. I thought maybe I was being too picky. I tried a second one and couldn't eat it. I then looked at the chicken pieces. They were little and thin and not appetizing at all. I pulled one in half and it was dry and mostly breading. The tenders are not tender at all. I decided to just eat the strawberry cheesecake which is made by some commercial bakery in Chicago. I describe it as nasty. I threw all of it, the entire dinner, away. About 90 minutes after I ate I was having nausea and abdominal pain and puked up what I had eaten. The couple of fries I ate were fine.

They never answer the phone the last time I went in because they weren't answering the dude was on the phone having a personal conversation and I asked so this is why you're not answering and he had the audacity to laugh smfh this used to be my favorite place but now that the original man that worked the front doesn't work there anymore it's a disaster

If you're looking for amazing food and an authentic joint, this place is it. The catfish is crack!! absolutely addictive. The neighborhood might seem rough, but trust me, that's where you find the best flavors. The owners and staff are genuinely warm, welcoming, and thankful for your business. Plus, the portion sizes are unbeatable for the price. They rarely run out of ingredients, but if they do, it's only because everything's fresh and in high demand. Highly recommended every visit hits the spot!!

Just experienced their awesome chicken wings, fries, and fried okra! OMG! The chicken beats out KFC and Popeyes by a mile! DEF going back!??♥️

Fish was dry as ever crumbled in my hand fries need Fryed hard and chicken was ok

Certain foods are good. Stingy with mild sauce…. Got a gyro burger. It was very small with only two thin slices of gyro meat on it…. I guess I have to go to Chicago for a good one.
