The worst start to any experience is feeling rushed and/or you’re bothering a drive thru employee about taking your order. I was just ordering lunch for three of us and she kept saying “is that all?” When we pulled up to the window she didn’t say a single word to us… I had us pull up for twelve minutes to wait for our food…. And we were the only guests there… no wonder the parking lot is empty… bacon was hard as rock on my western burger… use to love coming here until it went downhill :/ Sad

Horrible customer service. I came at 2:30pm to use a reward and was told i had to come after happy hour. Ok so i came back again at 4:30. They made the shake and had it ready at the window. They scanned my reward 4 times and told me they couldn't figure out how to use the reward. I let them know this was my 2nd trip out there and the reward expired that day. I had just opened at the drive thru. I asked for the manager to please help and they refused. I cant understand why they didnt just give me the shake if it was already made and they could clearly see my reward. I ended up leaving with no shake. I guess the employee wanted the free shake.

Tried the place despite all the nasty reviews. Service was fast, shakes tasted great, and burgers were good. Everyone complaining about self-service needs to get over themselves. This is our first time to a steak and shake, we will be back.

I have never had a good dining experience at a Steak 'n Shake. It had been about 10 years since I had last been in one, stopped on a whim. Kiosk order only. Never even saw an employee until I was handed my food, which was 20 minutes after ordering in an empty restaurant. Only one kiosk worked. Only a couple cups left at the beverage station which was a mess. No iced tea available. Floor was sticky and the place smelled like a very clean urinal. Which, while clean, is off putting. 14 bucks for a burger and fries.
Hands down, this was the best tasting Steak and Shake that I've been to.... ever! We didn't have to wait that long for our food after having to wait in line to order on the kiosk. On the food came out, it was piping hot and very tasteful. The staff there was playing Soul music through a Bluetooth speaker which made the whole experience very pleasurable, considering that it is, after all, Steak and Shake

At checkout, I provided a gift card to use along side my card. They charged the entire amount to my credit card, refused to offer any refund, amd when I got home home, half of my child's order was missing
