There were no signs for self-seating so we stood for a minute not knowing what to do but once we were acknowledged and picked a table for ourselves it was a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The wait for drinks was 20 minutes and that was from the time we were seated to her taking our drink order after 10 minutes to then getting the drinks. We were ready to place our orders after 20 minutes but she insisted on only taking our appetizer order. My husband and I ordered from the downtown South Bend restaurant week; I had the Cajun shrimp and he had the breadsticks and cheese. Appetizers were great. She came back to get our dinner order which we both got the Angus Burger grilled cheese. The server didn't seem to be very knowledgeable of what all drink offerings or what came on the food but we were pretty flexible. My husband was expecting a burger and I was expecting exactly what we got which was ground beef and cheese on toasted bread. We didn't eat more than half of the sandwich although the sweet potato fries I ordered and regular fries he ordered were fantastic!. We rounded out with the bread pudding and the brownie which were both fantastic. Overall this would be a great place to stop and have a drink and an appetizer with dessert but expect a wait. The entire process took us 2 hours- we weren't in a rush but it would have been nice if there was more than one server for the whole place (perhaps someone called out which is why we were very patient with the process and didn't hold anything against her).

We were looking for a good local eatery to try before our tour of the Oliver Mansion, History Museum, and Studebaker Museum. Let me tell you, this restaurant did not disappoint! It is on the second floor of the Tippecanoe Place Restaurant. The atmosphere was really neat and the food was OUTSTANDING. I got the BBQ Brisket Grilled Cheese sandwich and sweet potato fries. It was delicious. Cooked perfectly! My husband got a Grilled Chicken Club sandwich with regular fries. Also very good. We split a delicious Creme Brulee for dessert. After our dinner, we were able to do a self guided tour of the house. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back!

We just had such an incredible evening here. It was one of those special experiences where you don’t realize how special it was until it was over. After dinner the manager gave us a tour of the mansion and we got to hear all the ghost stories. Having dinner with friends in such a historic mansion was a real treat. So much history. The detail in the wood work was amazing just to look at.

Can't wait to visit Indiana again and dine here again!! Such an amazing experience. We felt like we were at a friend's house and warmly welcomed. You were free to dune downstairs, where it felt a little fancy, or upstairs at the sports bar (our choice). The house is gorgeous and you are encouraged to explore the house. The food was amazing, as was their beer (brewed on site, there's hops growing behind the house). The cream ale was one of the best beers I've had in a while. The beer cheese (which I now have the recipe for?) was delish and now my preference over queso. Highly recommend!!

Nice find in South Bend, have had a few items from there and all have been nice options. The red is a nice draft selection, bartender said he uses for a beer battered fish and it is excellent. Both lunch time and evening bartenders were personable and friendly. Would recommend!

I have always found the beer here to be consistent and full of flavor. I enjoy spending time in the house that belonged to one of America's richest familys. Do yourself a favor have a brew and some food and take in a bit of history as well!

Very nice and laid back setting in a historic building. Went on a Sunday and it wasn't busy and was quiet. Good selection of beers on tap, and while the food selection is small, they have a good variety of options. Had the peanut butter porter "The Relic" which was excellent, and the Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich was delicious.

Ryan was awesome. His ability to craft beers is spot on. Love trying new breweries wherever we go and his selection was the best I have tried. He is definitely a Master Brewer! Wish he was in Indianapolis where we live. My favorite was Sceptre and my husband loved the Champion. The Manta Ray was yummy too. Ohh so many to choose from.

Cool building. Decent beer. Poor atmosphere. Kind of depressing. Silent. Good blackened shrimp.

The initial service was a bit slow and initially seemed unfriendly, but the tide turned quickly, transforming into fantastic service for both the delectable food and refreshing beer, accompanied by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The live piano added a delightful touch, and the setting in the old house is truly amazing. A tale of two experiences, ending on a high note.
