The diners' animated conversations enhanced the ambiance. I'm kicking myself as I forgot our server's name, but that dude rocked the table service, promptly bringing us plate after plate, while keeping our glasses filled at all times. We enjoyed his appetizer recommendation of grilled carrots...a pleasant yet simple surprise.

Fantastic! Great experience overall. Authentic cocktails, extensive wine list and delicious food. Wally, the bartender was most personable and made perfect suggestions, he even threw in a few jokes gratis. Recommend the barbecued carrots and Gorgonzola cheesecake with dark chocolate ganache. Superb! We'd definitely stop again.

Wally was right; the bbq carrots were delicious.

Walked over from a near by hotel for dinner. They were not overly busy (Tuesday night) So just sat at the bar. Totally glad I did! Bartender Wally was awesome!! Great conversation and extremely knowledgeable about the scotch and bourbon. For dinner, I simply just asked for his recommendation and he suggested the Gnocchi, BBQ carrots (?) and steak kabobs. All three were really awesome... especially the carrots. The gnocchi was done in a clam sauce with baby asparagus (wish I'd taken a photo). Steak was tenderloin that I cut with a fork! The place has a great local, comfortable feel to it. Bar top and part of the floor was from the old Studebaker factory! Great stuff. Highly recommend and will certainly be back on my next visit. Thanks

This is the place to go if you want a sense of Indy (other than the track in Speedway). The heart of Indy is found in this circle that was originally intended to be the site of the Governor's Mansion until the then Governor's wife said she would never live there because everyone would be able to see the family's laundry! There are numerous websites that talk about the art and sculpture of the circle.

This is an awesome place for tapas. Stopped in on a weekday afternoon. The ambiance is great. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was spectacular. Our table of five shared wild boar, Bronzino, dates, olives, roast duck, among a variety of other dishes. This place is a must when in South Bend. When back in SB, we will definitely be back.

They claim to be a Spanish food restaurant. Really? Serving "tapas" does not make the deal. Food does not taste AT ALL like in Spain. Just pretentious smaaaaall dishes for 16-18 dollars. I rather pay 600 hundred for a flight to Barcelona.

Great location and atmosphere. The menu offered a broad range of Tapas with very creative options. Loved the garlic shrimp and chicken kabobs. An excellent wine list with a good selection for a cheese plate. My first time to South Bend and I would definitely come back here again.
Nothing goes as well after watching the annual shellacking that is Navy@Notre Dame as tapas and sangria in downtown South Bend. We're so grateful to Peggy for getting us the last table by the bar, which prevented us from waiting 45 minutes for a regular table. Since there were six of us, we ordered a couple of different paellas, as well as nearly every small plate they offered. We had such a great time that I don't really recall everything we ordered. All I know is that I nearly forgot I am Navy alumni, having just suffered a major blowout loss to the Fighting Irish. I just kept thinking, "Please stay healthy enough to beat Army in a few weeks in Philadelphia." I recall 25 years ago when there really weren't many dining choices in South Bend, aside from the typical meat-n-potatoes places. So I was happily surprised to find Tapastrie classing up the neighborhood.

2018 Who would think that South Bend would have such a great Tapas restaurant? James was great. 2019 Still great a year later. A must do restaurant if you are in South Bend. Thanks

Good Food and Service from a late night visit. Very warm atmosphere and the selection of food was fantastic, everything tasted great and we couldn't get away without trying the deserts. Not too pricey but definitely on the more expensive side and the service warrants it.
