I have lived here for the last year and have loved it! Linda was amazing from the start in helping with everything and accommodating. John is fantastic and is very thorough with everything and both are great with communication. The building is beautiful, the apartment is beautiful and the view!! I really appreciate everything John and Linda did for me during my time here. I will truly miss it!!

A friend recommended this bar and I have no idea why. I went and the owner was incredibly rude and disrespectful to us. His drinks were below average and unimpressive and way overpriced. There are plenty of other places with better service and better drinks, even the dive bars of South Bend offer better drinks.

It's a nice and quiet hidden spot to get drinks and hang out. I've come a couple of times and each time have had a pleasant experience. I'll definitely be back again soon.

Worst aperol spritz I've ever had. Completely watered down, and no orange. I think plain water was used instead of prosecco, and with no orange slice. I ordered the same drink with a different bartender who was not Jerry (the owner) the previous time I'd been, and it was really good, and much cheaper. Jerry charged me three dollars extra the next time I went for no reason (prices for aperol spritz aren't on the menu), plus I tipped. Complete waste of money--the drink was entirely ice and water, with a quarter glass of aperol at the bottom. The service was also extremely slow. The vibe of the place is good, but I would def recommend Whiskey Exchange or Fat Bird for drinks instead. I don't support.

Yikes. I was trying to meet up with my brother here. It was drizzling out and he was running late, so I came inside of the building (but not quite into the bar) to wait for him. He was facetiming me to let me know his eta. Midway through our conversation, the owner/manager (unsure who he was) came out to the hallway, got up in my face, super-aggressive, and demanded that I get out immediately. I was sober and in a cocktail dress, which is to say that I definitely did not look sketchy. He told me I was "disrupting the patrons." I said, with forced politeness, that I had yet to interact with anyone, and I was waiting for my sibling, and asked if perhaps he has confused me with someone else who might be causing trouble. I guess he doesn't like people waiting in the hallway? My brother (still on facetime) was laughing at first but quickly became furious that someone would treat a woman who was by herself in such an outrageous way. This guy did not relent, and I wasn't about to stick around to see if he'd follow through with his threats. I said "good night, sir," and got the FFFF out. So, I've never actually made it into the bar, and I never intend to after being berated by this lunatic. Pro tip: sometimes women don't like to sit in bars by themselves because it makes them feel nervous/unsafe. Guess what makes them feel more unsafe: when they get threatened by the owner/manager of the establishment for patiently waiting (in an area quite far away from the door and other patrons) for their guest. Avoid this nightmare. We'll spend our money elsewhere tonight and going forward.

Have been living here for over a month and have really enjoyed it! Although I have had some maintenance issues, they were solved in a fast manner. I love the view and the vicinity I am to the many parks and trails, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. The location you cannot beat!

A completely unethical display of business!!!!! This business booked a date to sign contracts and get paid in full and then took a walk in and booked the date out from under the people she told days before come in on this date and time. They do not take payments over the phone you have to make an appointment time. Which was done, no call no nothing till after the fact. What I was told was "even with an appointment that doesn't mean they'll show." A conversation on this Monday knowing full well that they where coming and to not even call and "say hay can you make it sooner or can someone else come in." Completely unethical!!!! What's the point of booking an appointment if there not even going to honor it. Says to me they could take your deposit and because you didn't pay in full and someone else is willing to pay in full couldn't get that day.

So as somebody in the wedding business I don’t usually bad mouth other people in our line of work. But as Groom I’m up I’m beyond pissed off! Today while at work I got phone call from the LaSalle building where I was planning to have my wedding reception. The young lady on the phone proceeds to tell me that our date is no longer available because a couple who “walked” in today paid there deposits for our date. This wouldn’t be a problem and I wouldn’t be pissed had I not set

they set an appointment time up for a contract and payment for an event then took a walk in off the street and booked them instead of the one they made an appointment with. they knew full well that that date was wanted and booked the appointment. bad business ethics. no call till after and it was to cancel the appointment with the couple who were already on their books for payment.

Being a neighbor to the LaSalle for four years now has been interesting. While the building is nice and the apartments are “luxury”, A large number of their residents and even some staff members are snobby and rude. As a result, after my lease is up and I graduate, I will not be looking into renting one of their units. If it weren’t for their “I’m better than you” attitude, I would have been applying.

I lived at the LaSalle from 2018 until this year 2020 and I must say it was my best living experience yet! Brittany was amazing. From the moment I met her she went out of her way to ensure that as a tenant I had everything I needed. As an international student looking for emergency housing, the LaSalle was extremely accommodating. Additionally, I always felt as if my issues were a priority. John (the amazing maintenance man) made the experience even richer as he fixed and adjusted everything with a smile and also went out of his way. I highly recommend staying at the LaSalle. For the view, convenience and customer service, it is well worth it!

For the person who had trouble with hard water: this area is located on a limestone aquafor. Hard water is everywhere . You can purchase a citrus charged inline watersoftener. Easy to install and you can take it with you when you leave. Does anyone know anything about the handicap accessible apartment s ?

I've lived here for two years, and over those two years I have been so. impressed with how responsive the new property manager, Brittany is. She is kind, courteous, and really does care about the needs of the tenants in the building. LaSalle is in a great location, right at the heart of downtown South Bend. Within walking distance of everything downtown. You'll be right next to the Riverwalk, which is great for biking and jogging all the way to Mishawaka or in the other direction, to Niles, Michigan. While the internet was a problem the first year, they have resolved it and now the internet works flawlessly. I have also not noticed any issues with the heat or the air conditioning this past year, and to be honest, even the rare occasion when the heat did go out, Brittany went out of her way to supply everyone with their own personal heating unit for a night. I will miss living here, as it was a great community - with the South Blend Cafe down below, and the Hideway, it was a great place to come home to (and a great place to work from home these last couple of months).
