Visited in early October and had the Apple Brandy Burger and Brussels sprouts. Best.Burger.Ever!! Too bad it's only available in October.
Mik was our server and she was awesome!!! thanks for accommodating our hockey team!!
My 2 kids and I came here after spending the evening at the Howard Park for the Black Friday festivities ended. Im glad we came here for dinner. This food is dynamite! I highly recommend the chicken and dumplings soup. My wild song fettuccine was delicious as well. For my last stop in South Bend, this place is definitely wanting me to come back next time!

Great experience at The Lauber. Our server, Mik, was world-class.
We always have great meals at the Lauber. We were recently there with a big group with multiple kids and some food allergies, and Mik’s service was excellent! She really took care of us and attended to all our needs.
Great restaurant option for families with kids who have food allergies. Mik was super helpful with ours!
First time here and loved it! Very friendly and attentive wait staff. The atmosphere I would say is trendy. I had the turkey sandwich and it was exceptional. Even though the one picture states it's a sheet metal and roofing place, it was at one time. It's now been converted into a wonderful place for dining and will absolutely go back for another great time!!!

My favorite place in the downtown South Bend area for crafts and sour beer. Their power salad and burgers are especially delicious and the staff is so friendly!
We've been to the Lauber three times now since they opened. We live in South Bend and are always looking for local food options. The pizza is really underwhelming with a bland crust, though people seem to like it so maybe it's just not for us. I ordered one and it came out heaped with arugula. Food overall is just ok. I think the final factor was when we went in on my birthday so I could get a sandwich there that I had actually liked when we ordered carryout the month before. I ordered it again, it was a vegetarian option with hummus and almonds. Service was slow, not many patrons but servers gathered and talked by the front. A couple of times I finally flagged down someone's attention (I try not to do this, we were there over an hour and not because we eat slowly.) The sandwich ingredients were totally different than the menu and it wasnt nearly as good. Nowhere was it noted on the menu or table topper. The server didn't tell me when I ordered. When I asked, the server said this was an updated version and offered to bring another meal. By that point, after such slow service, I just wanted to leave. Also, I ordered an Arnold Palmer, the most basic of standard drinks, and they brought me lemonade with a splash of ice tea. I think we are done with the Lauber.

The server was awesome. He was attentive, friendly, and got all the orders correct. The food was pretty good and the price was absolutely reasonable for what we got. We'll done.
