What a gem!! This is an outstanding craft brewery in small town Spencer Indiana that we stumbled upon while staying at McCormick’s Creek State Park. The beers are well crafted and are high quality. They know how to brew beer. Great start to the beers and great finish as well. Going back tomorrow!!

What a great place! Beer is really good, the burgers were very tasty and our waitress, Kylene, was friendly and attentive. We're from out of town, but will definitely come back when we are in the area.

A very nice brewery with some amazing food choices! I love it when I finally decide on an option because I know I plan on returning to try some other ones! I had blackberry seltzer that was amazing! My husband had a Irish Red beer that he thoroughly enjoyed!

$8 for a basket of fries tells you all you need to know about this place.

Doesn't matter what the owner says about quality nobody with common sense is gonna do that.

Owner really needs to lower prices and focus on quantity sold to make profit rather than ripping off the locals by selling you 1 cheeseburger for $15.

Very nice brewery, with good beer, food, and friendly staff. We will be back!

The Civilian burger was excellent. Absolutely love the unique flavor with the bacon jam.

Perfect place for a great burger and a local brew after a rigorous hike at nearby McCormacks Creek State Park! ? friendly, but seems very welcoming for anyone. 10/10 recommend ?

Owen County is very lucky to have Ben and the Civilian Brewing Corps on their town square. The food is excellent, I recommend the wings, falafel salad or one of the burgers with bacon jam.

They also have a great selection of beer and a few types of wine to chose from. They even make their own soda. The orange soda is always a favorite of mine though I hear the root beer is great also.

Good food and service.

Would not recommend for anyone with young or neurodivergent children.We came in today with 3 adults and 4 children under the age of 5.The owner came to our table before we had even received our food and asked "Is there any way to make the child be quiet?" 'The child' in question was my 2-year-old daughter who makes a low-pitched, repetitive noise when focusing. The answer to his question is no. I thought this would be a kid-friendly choice as they offer a kids' menu but I was wrong.We ended up leaving without eating. It feels pretty awful to have someone discriminate against your child.
