Hill Top is very inviting. It is a casual atmosphere. The menu is varied from steak, chicken, to pizza. The steak was of great quality as was the fried and baked chicken. The food sides are all served family style with refills.

Hilltop has been here for a long time, and over the decades it has remained a country atmosphere with large servings of mainly fried chicken and fish served family style. Service is friendly but slow when it is busy. Hilltop has a beautiful setting atop an Owen County forested hill. Expect to dine among parties of 6 to 12. It is one of only a few places to have a sit down, serviced dinner in the county. There are tables for 2 or 4.

There were 8 in my party. I had Surf and Turf Friday night. It was excellent. Steak cooked perfectly! Others in my party said chicken was wonderful. Sides were really good, too. Only negative comment I have is the service lacks a little. If your in hurry do not go there. Overall it was a great experience.

We have never had anything but wonderful food there at lunch and dinner. Been there many times never seen a pet in the restaurant. But I question the validity of that review when he said he spent $50-$100 I’m not sure there’s anything on their menu that would make you spend $50-$100 the nearly 1pound prime rib is only $30. My husband and I can both eat there and have the fried chicken him half me a quarter and our bill is under $30. I always make reservations, and I have never waited.
My wife and I love Hilltop. We make a trip from Greenwood, IN many times a year. Great service as well.

Food was amazing! No complaints whatsoever. Fried chicken was juicy and flavorful. Steak was prepared accurately. Shrimp was astounding. All you can eat family sides were delicious.

All I can say is wow! We found this place by searching Google on our way home. It was close by. Set atop a hill, the restaurant has a simple, cabin type feel. The star of the show is the food. Every person in our group LOVED their food. I enjoyed the fried shrimp, two had catfish, 2 had pizza and one did the add on to share. The family style dining is genius. Our meals came with rolls, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and salad. These options were refillable. My husband said it was the best catfish he had ever had. The pizza sat in a to go box in our car the rest of our trip home, another 2.5 hours, and the pizza is still probably some of the best I have ever eaten! Our server was very sweet and attentive. Delicious sweet tea! The only downfall is we have found a great place and it's nearly 3 hours from home.

Most of the Food was outstanding,spaghetti wasn't that good.There was alot of water ,my husband took 2 bites and he was done. You get big family size sides with entrees.We had Fried Chicken,Chicken Strips, Spaghetti w/meatballs,and Beef Noodle.
